With a gift of $5 million, John and Paige Bick have brought new life to a once-dormant program in the Texas Tech University - Edward E. Whitacre, Jr. College of Engineering – the Construction Engineering Technology (CET) program.   To honor their generosity, the program, which is in the approval process, will be named the John & Paige Bick Construction Engineering Technology Program.   “Contributing to Texas Tech and being a catalyst in bringing back the Construction Engineering Technology program is our way of giving back and providing opportunities for students to pursue much-needed careers in construction engineering. Eight Texas Tech University faculty members were honored last week at the Chancellor’s Council Distinguished Teaching & Research Awards, the highest honors given to faculty by the TTU System and made possible by the generosity of the Chancellor’s Council members. 🏫 👩🏫 🔬 Join us in congratulating these extraordinary faculty members and thanking them for all they do for TTU and our System.

The Texas Tech University System has earned quality ratings from three leading credit rating agencies: an Aa1 from Moody’s Investor Service and AA+ ratings from both Fitch Ratings and Kroll Bond Rating Agency.    The rating assignments preceded the TTU System’s $343.4 million municipal bond sale, which is planned for Feb. 20. Congratulations to MSU Texas Cheer for earning recognition at the national tournaments in Orlando! MSU Texas Cheer placed third at the International Cheer Union University World Cup Championship and qualified for the finals of the Universal Cheer Association College National Championships.
