RW Energy is excited to participate as a sub-awardee for the Colorado DAC hub in partnership with University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, Visage Energy and a list of other innovative companies. RW Energy is tasked with developing economic modeling to assist the Business and Financial Plan for the DAC Hub. The goal of this project is to design a Direct Air Capture (DAC) Hub that builds upon previous geological studies conducted in the Denver-Julesburg Basin. The Hub will utilize the storage infrastructure being developed as part of the CarbonSAFE project and will be driven by NextEra Energy, Inc. solar projects to power the DAC units. Additionally, a point source carbon capture project on a cement plant in the region will contribute to the overall carbon capture efforts. Carbon America will leverage its local relationships with industry and the community to facilitate the development and success of the DAC Hub. The region historically impacted by heavy industry and economically distressed.
