#aboutlastnight The journey/life of a #startup #founder is unique, scary, fun, unpredictable, demanding, rewarding, spontaneous, a lot of work, critical, draining, nerve-wracking, intentional, not for everyone, economically stimulating and sometimes, all at once. ▶️ Yet, we keep showing up! ‼️ That's what I shared with fellow start up leadHER, Anna Dai, Human and Kay McCall of REAL-Renewable Energy Alliance - Houston during last nights conversation on Data Center Load Growth as sometimes these rooms have not always embraced the path, expertise and power of women and particularly, women of color. #progress So, as the need increases with the grid expansion, so does opportunities for advanced workforce and there are more women involved in these spaces. Having SGSF Board leaders in Jill Sweeney and Dr. Sravani Gullapalli, (Ph.D.) on hand to engage with decison-makers was good as SUPERGirls SHINE Foundation continues mentoring, developing, & preparing future workforce talent for the ever growing & expansive workforce needs across several industries. Their ear to the ground gives SGSF real world data, conversation and space to explore solutions to meet the demand. ✔️ In addition, sharing conversation with industry champions in Michael Mann, Jenette Sears and Danita Park on community impact, volunteerism, growth, sustainably and mental health was especially good given that regardless if you are a founder or corporate decision maker, managing your #energy versus your schedule is more valuable to how you show up to engage, perform and produce, yielding greater results for your passion work to soar. Therefore, the next time you get ready to prepare for a networking experience, be mindful, men and women, the value add is not always in your position/title, skills or company.
