One of the most effective ways you can fight deforestation, protect wildlife, empower communities & curb climate change.
About us
Stand For Trees tackles deforestation at its core – by preventing mature, resilient trees from being chopped down. Our projects protect 4.5 million hectares of tropical forests and prevent 700 million tonnes of carbon emissions; improve quality of life for over a million people, including local and indigenous communities; and safeguard unique ecosystems and thousands of endangered species. We use REDD+, a pay-for-performance model that requires independent, third-party verification and which only rewards success. With us, anyone can save forests and heal the climate.

Happy #WorldWildlifeDay2025 While we observe this special day dedicated to our planet’s biodiversity, we at Karibu Kenya and Exclusive Ethiopia are proud to align our holidays with responsible tourism. This year’s theme, “Investing in People and Planet,” resonates with our goal to create memorable and adventurous experiences for our clients while ensuring that tourism benefits both people and the environment. When you travel with us, you can rest assured that your journey supports sustainable practices and meaningful conservation efforts: 🌳 Carbon Offsetting: We offset the carbon emissions from all domestic flights and road transfers for our clients through Stand For Trees, they protect forests worldwide and prevent carbon emissions in critical areas. 🐘 Wildlife Conservation: Every trip with Karibu Kenya helps safeguard the Rukinga Conservancy, an elephant migration corridor between Tsavo East and Tsavo West National Parks in Kenya. This project not only protects wildlife but also supports local communities. 🧵 Eco-Friendly Practices: Our staff uniforms, including shirts, t-shirts, and yoga tops, are produced by Wildlife Works eco-factory, which prioritizes sustainable manufacturing processes. 👥 Community and Ecosystem Support: Through the Wildlife Works Kasigau Corridor REDD+ Project, we offset the carbon footprints of all our clients, ensuring that your travels contribute to forest conservation and community development. As a member of Ecotourism Kenya, we adhere to their charter, which requires all members to be conscious of the natural and cultural environments in which they operate. This commitment guides everything we do, from planning personalized holiday packages to implementing eco-friendly practices on the ground. 𝘽𝙡𝙖𝙘𝙠 𝙒𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙧, the latest film by Wildlife Works , offers a poignant glimpse into survival and resilience deep within the rainforests of the Congo Basin—a region that’s home to one of the transformative projects featured on our platform, the Mai Ndombe Project. This powerful short film highlights the challenges faced by a local community around Lake Mai Ndombe (which translates to "Lake of Black Water") in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Once a bountiful source of life, the lake’s fish population has drastically declined over the years, jeopardizing livelihoods and food security for generations. The film unveils the unexpected causes behind this crisis and the community's inspiring efforts to restore balance. Watch the film and immerse yourself in the stories of these resilient communities, whose forests and future are intricately tied to global climate action: https://lnkd.in/eKK5BjfN #BlackWater #CarbonCreditsWork #Congo #ClimateAction #FoodSecurity #DocumentaryFilm
