About us
Sonical is unlocking your ears' secret weapon – an untapped resource of biometric data. We use our ears to make sense of what is going on around us, interacting with other people and learning. We also remain alert to background sounds to warn us of danger and, unfortunately, are often exposed to an increasing amount of noise. With the use of headphones, we can listen to music, podcasts, audio books, watch movies, make phone calls, and play games while chatting to our friends, while reducing some of the sound we are exposed to. In addition to listening to the world and listening to audio, we can listen to our bodies. The ear is an incredibly rich source of information for our general health and wellness. We can gather metrics such as heart rate and heart rate variability, oxygen level, motion, temperature, brain activity, voice metrics and many others. Regular monitoring of this data can provide essential insight and early warning signals that can enable medical professionals to better diagnose multiple conditions and even detect the impact of the medication we use. One of the main reasons we don’t do this at the ear today, despite the many benefits it provides, is because there is no computer there that can run the advanced AI algorithms that will transform how we use the products. Which leads us to headphone 3.0. The next generation of hearable devices, beyond basic Bluetooth headphones, will use an ear computer and operating system to allow everyone to download apps for their ears. We will be able to personalize how we hear the world, how we listen to audio and select the metrics and information gathered at the ear. This means, for example, we can determine whether a piece of music really can help us relax because we will be able to measure it, in real time. Following in the footsteps of the personal computer, the smartphone and the smartwatch, the inevitable transition to truly smart ear buds is the next major computing platform.

Great to see Remora Pro in action! CosmOS brings UWB audio streaming with imperceptible latency. #Headphone3 #CosmOS #UseYourEars
Remora PRO is live – with imperceptible latency! A huge thank you to Amit Patel at Headliner Magazine for recently hosting an incredible DJ session to put Remora PRO to the test! The feedback has been amazing, and its great to see and hear DJs experience the benefits first-hand. For DJs, timing is everything. Whether beatmatching, scratching, or layering tracks, even the slightest delay can break the flow. That’s why DJs who’ve tested Remora PRO are loving it—offering imperceptible sub-5ms latency through Ultra-Wideband (UWB) technology, it delivers an instant, seamless connection between performance and sound. No more feeling tethered to the decks with your wired headphones. No more feeling disconnected from the mix. Just pure, real-time audio that keeps you locked in the moment. Now you can perform away from the controllers. But it’s not just about performance—it’s also about protecting hearing health. Long-term exposure to high sound levels is a real concern for DJs, and Remora PRO supports those with hearing loss or tinnitus by offering advanced audio customisation. With Sonical’s CosmOS platform bringing apps to your ears, DJs can fine-tune their monitoring experience, adjusting frequencies and levels to match their specific hearing profile. This means clearer monitoring at personalised volumes—without sacrificing the energy of the mix. With audio technology evolving fast, Remora PRO is built for the future—ultra-low latency, rock-solid reliability, and a customisable audio experience that adapts to the needs of every performer using their current headphones. DJs are already giving it glowing feedback—sign up on our waitlist at www.remora.pro to try it for yourself - the difference will move you. #RemoraPRO #Sonical #audio #innovation #audiophile #WirelessAudio #WirelessHeadphones #UltraWideband #UWBAudio #LowLatency #ultralowlatency #Headphone3 #CosmOS #earcomputer #ProAudio #ProfessionalAudio #DJTech

Remora PRO continues to get audio professionals excited. We learned a lot about new use cases and plugins that take this product into some new markets. #Headphone3 #CosmOS
The NAMM Show in California brought together a vibrant and diverse community of music, audio, and sound enthusiasts, including bands, producers, equipment manufacturers, tech providers, mixers, engineers, DJs, and singers, and it was great to meet so many of them. The enthusiasm for innovation was clear, with many attendees expressing immediate interest in the Remora product, saying, "I'd buy a Remora right now." The Headliner Magazine event was a standout moment, fostering great networking opportunities. Meetings during the show proved highly productive, presenting exciting potential for future collaborations. Key trends emerged during the event, highlighting the growing demand for premium wireless and personalised audio solutions. With the limitations of Bluetooth and many custom solutions on the market often seen as low-quality and lacking innovation. Stayed tuned for updates.. #NAMM2025 #RemoraPRO #Sonical #audio #innovation #audiophile #AIAcceleration #WirelessAudio #WirelessHeadphones #UltraWideband #UWBAudio #LowLatency #Headphone3 #CosmOS #earcomputer #BeyondAudio #NextGenAudio #BluetoothAlternative #ProfessionalAudio #DJTech #MusicProducers

"Latency might not always be noticeable in live mixes—but when it goes wrong, it goes very wrong." - Chris Parker, Production Manager at Patchwork London. Chris Parker, Production Manager at Patchwork, shared his experience with latency in live audio, noting, “Digital equipment these days does a pretty good job of keeping latency in check for the majority of applications, but when it goes wrong, it goes wrong.” He explained how latency between sound sources in a mix can cause phase issues. For instance, “If you wanted to have parallel compression across your drums - without suitable compensation in place, the different timings will cause near-identical signals to knock out of phase with each other and you’ll hear whooshing/filtered audio artifacts.” Managing this latency is crucial to keeping the sound clean, and this challenge highlights the importance of fine-tuning signal paths. Chris also mentioned new wireless systems, such as Sennheiser’s Spectera and Shure’s Axient Digital PSM, which “utilise WMAS for RF distribution to send huge amounts of wireless mics and IEMs through a small band of spectrum.” The world of wireless audio is advancing rapidly, and engineers are keeping a close eye on how these new systems handle the challenges ahead. Shure and Sennheiser excel in densely populated spaces and covering large distances, while Remora offers a tailored, personal wireless experience. Want to learn more about how professionals manage latency in live and studio environments? Stay tuned into Remora PRO on the latest in wireless audio solutions. #RemoraPRO #AudioTech #Latency #LiveMixing
