  • Rancho Cordova isn’t the first place most people associate with AI, but maybe it should be? Solidigm is powering some of the most critical infrastructure behind today’s AI advancements. While the spotlight often falls on apps and models, we're building what makes them possible: fast, secure, high-performance storage for the massive volumes of data AI depends on. What makes our story even more compelling is the culture that drives it. In conversation with The Sacramento Observer's Christine Shelby, Solidigm engineering leads Charles Anyimi, Gamil Cain, and Mike M. shared why fostering curiosity, embracing failures, and diversifying talent is essential to innovation. In addition to building technology, Solidigm is building community, embedding ourselves in local schools and supporting initiatives that ensure the next generation is ready to lead. This is what it looks like when world-class innovation meets intentional leadership and deep, local roots. Read the full feature: https://lnkd.in/gctxxYZD

  • When we say data, what do we really mean? http://bit.ly/3HUUehX To some, data is highly technical. It’s latency, infrastructure, power draw, bits and bytes, ones and zeros. To others, it’s personal: the moment a car’s safety system prevents an accident, or a long-awaited answer about their health. For us at Solidigm...data is both. Data has become one of the most consequential resources in the modern world. It is highly technical, but its impact is deeply human. When put to use, data can improve lives in immediate, tangible ways. We believe that those who can turn data into meaningful outcomes will shape the future. That’s why we’re focused on building storage solutions that help expand the possibilities of data that fuel human advancement. Our SSDs are designed to enable fast, efficient, large-scale access to information so it can be used to deliver real-time insights, drive progress, and foster innovation. • It was a beautiful day in the Bay for VentureBeat Transform where Solidigm SVP Greg Matson and PEAK:AIO CEO Roger Cummings took the main stage to talk about what’s next in #AI infrastructure.   From Retrieval Augmented Generation (#RAG) to real-time #edge AI, workloads are evolving fast and Solidigm is meeting the moment with storage that’s both high-performance and high-capacity; because general-purpose storage is no longer enough.   We’re building #SSDs that move massive datasets closer to the GPU, enable inference at the edge, and dramatically reduce power draw across the AI pipeline. Whether it’s petabytes of medical data through MONAI or 15M+ wildlife images at the London Zoo with PEAK:AIO, Solidigm is empowering customers with storage that's purpose-built for AI.

AI’s next big bottleneck? Storage. Greg Matson (Solidigm) and Roger Cummings (PEAK:AIO) and moderator Michael Stewart (M12, Microsoft's Venture Fund) are diving into how modern, high-capacity storage architectures are unlocking AI performance across industries — from healthcare to fraud detection to wildlife conservation. With insights from MONAI (Medical Open Network for AI) and beyond, this session explores how to keep up with the data demands of advanced AI workloads — from training clusters to edge inference. #venturebeat #agenticAI

Storage is a lot of things, especially in the age of #AI. More than just capacity, it’s about performance, power, connectivity, throughput, availability, and reliability. On episode 8 of Tech Field Day’s #UtilizingTech podcast, Dr. J Metz, Chair of the Ultra Ethernet Consortium and SNIA, as well as a Technical Director at AMD joins the conversation with Solidigm's Scott Shadley, MBA, Board Member to explore how standards bodies do more than just set technical specifications; they help shape the way we understand technologies like storage and accelerate innovation. • 122TB of Enterprise Storage Goodness — A Deep Dive with Level1Techs Allyn Malventano from Solidigm recently joined Wendell Wilson from Level1Techs for an in-depth technical exploration of the Solidigm D5-P5336, the world’s highest-capacity SSD. It’s a conversation data storage pros won’t want to miss! Wendell highlights the incredible engineering feat behind this capacity, noting: “This is a density of data that mechanical hard drives today cannot touch.” As he puts it: “Cost per gig, hard drives are still king… but for capacity per physical space, this is the nail in the coffin.” Watch now: https://lnkd.in/giSrVu4Y

The Great Re-Routing: Architecting the Inference Stack for the Age of Agents Most enterprises are treating generative AI like a new application to be installed. The savviest leaders, however, understand they are installing a new kind of operating system. It’s a concept best articulated by OpenAI founding member Andrej Karpathy this week. He argued that the LLM itself is acting as the new 'CPU' for an OS that thinks, and this new OS requires a different machine around it. The defining challenge is no longer just "more compute," but orchestrating the right compute, for the right task, at the right time. This requires a new architectural command center: the "Smart Inference Router." Its foundations are being built now. NVIDIA's own Dynamo framework intelligently disaggregates AI workloads, while recent research shows splitting a single query between a GPU and CPU can boost throughput by 2.7x. This is the future: a dynamic routing of workloads to the optimal silicon, whether it's from NVIDIA or a growing list of competitors, like Google (TPUs), AMD, AWS (Titanium) or inference specialists like Cerebras and Groq, which have better cost performance in some areas. As the influential analysis from Dylan Patel's SemiAnalysis consistently shows, no single chip architecture wins at everything. Specialized silicon can outperform general-purpose hardware by orders of magnitude on specific tasks. This profound architectural shift is the central theme we are exploring at VB Transform next week in San Francisco (June 24-25). We're mapping this new landscape with the architects building it. Dylan Patel will join Cerebras Systems CTO Sean Lie and Groq CEO Jonathan Ross to debate the future of compute in our session, "AI Inference Is Reshaping Enterprise AI Economics." But the specialization runs deeper. A smart router is useless if starved for data. That's why we're also featuring Greg Matson of Solidigm and Roger Cummings of PEAK:AIO in a crucial session on "Cracking AI’s Storage Bottleneck." The bottleneck has migrated to the data layer. A high-throughput, all-flash storage architecture is now the critical foundation for the sub-second response times and memory that agentic workflows demand. Ultimately, as Cerebras' Sean Lie argues, the new, intelligent stack is the foundation required to move from simple co-pilots to the autonomous agents that will power the future enterprise. Understanding this frontier is a strategic imperative. Join the conversation. • Juneteenth marks more than a historic milestone, it reminds us of the collective journey of strength, perseverance, and a continuous pursuit of justice. It's a time to celebrate liberation, while also recognizing the work that still lies ahead to ensure equity is a reality for all. In honor of Juneteenth, yesterday our Team Member Resource Group ONYX hosted a BBQ and learning activity on how the African American experience has shaped American culture. The commemoration of this day is an important reminder that building an inclusive culture requires reflection, intentionality, and continuous action.

  • #TeamSolidigm in Gdańsk recently joined forces with other local companies and High School No. V to host Book & Help – a community festival with heart. Solidigm employees were involved in collecting books beforehand, baking cakes, and coordinating activities before and during the event. Together, these groups raised funds for the children’s hospital ward in Gdańsk-Oliwa, surrounded by books, laughter, and creativity. From hands-on art and floral workshops to children’s activities and more, the day was filled with joy and purpose. A heartfelt thank you to the incredible volunteers and students from High School No. V. Your energy and commitment made it all possible!
