Society for Learning Analytics Research (SoLAR) reposted this
Calling those interested in #LearningAnalytics to share your thoughts about what characterizes LA. After 15 years of LA, it is timely for the Society for Learning Analytics Research (SoLAR) to revisit the definition to ensure it still holds true as the field has grown alongside other advancements. This will help authors and reviewers of the Journal of Learning Analytics (JLA) and the International Learning Analytics and Knowledge Conference (LAK) determine what is in or out of scope in journal and conference submissions. SoLAR’s LA Taskforce invites community input in a Group Concept Mapping exercise to determine how LA should be characterized. To participate, please fill out this simple google form with your email and country. These exercises will take place in two parts. Part One is going on now through April 4, 2025 11:59 PM AOE and Part Two will take place April 7 - April 11, 2025. More information about participating will be sent once you’ve filled out the interest form. https://lnkd.in/eP7CeQRi

In anticipation of #LAK25, join us next Monday for our upcoming webinar where Rogers Kaliisa and Mohammed Saqr will present the work that received the Best Paper Award at #LAK24. The presenters will synthesize the findings of studies that investigated the impact of learning analytics dashboards on students' learning outcomes, participation, motivation, and attitudes, but also discuss the current status of evidence and whether it supports the notion that LADs are effective or can improve students' learning.
