At Small Door, our mission goes beyond the walls of our practices—we’re dedicated to making a positive impact in our community. Recently, our team had the privilege of volunteering at one of the Animal Care Centers of NYC Community Pet Clinics, joining forces with their amazing team and other incredible volunteers for a day focused on veterinary care, compassion, and connection. A huge thank you goes out to our dedicated veterinarians and vet techs and the outstanding Animal Care Centers of NYC team for their hard work and commitment. We’re also grateful for the additional volunteers from across the veterinary community who came together to support this event. Their dedication made it possible to provide vaccines, microchipping, and triage exams, ensuring every cat and dog received attentive, preventative treatment. This collaboration truly underscores the strength of community in keeping NYC pets safe and healthy. The ACC’s tireless efforts pave the way for impactful events like these, and it was an honor to support their mission. We’re grateful for the opportunity to contribute to such essential work, bridging the gap for pet owners who need access to vital care. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated and to the community for trusting us with your pet’s wellness. Experiences like these remind us of our shared purpose: every pet deserves compassion, care, and love. Interested in getting involved? 🚀 The recent news of Shore Capital Partners’ potential $8.6 billion merger of two of their portfolio companies, Mission Veterinary Partners and Southern Veterinary Partners, backed by Silver Lake, underscores the lasting value investors see in pet care and the strong tailwinds of increased pet spending. It’s exciting to witness the industry’s growth and the interest in supporting the growing needs of pet families across the country. Large rollups have been around for a while now - and while they provide scale, they usually do not lead to innovation and better care short of pure financial engineering. At Small Door, we’re approaching the market differently. Rather than pursuing consolidation, we’re dedicated to reimagining pet care from the ground up through the de novo route. Our membership-based model goes beyond scaling for numbers—we’re building every experience with pet parents and their pets in mind, focusing on quality, transparency, and lasting relationships. As we continue to grow, we’re proud to be one of the few innovators in this space, showing that you can combine best in class financial performance with an innovative model of care. 🐾

Stephen Sebastián Kampen, from the Member Experience team at our Small Door 14th Street location, recently shared this celebration of leaders Ashley Symns and Lakshmi Mahalingam-Ehlert. (and we have to be honest... it's got us in our feels 🥹) Celebratory energy and expressions of gratitude were resounding themes at every clinic in honor of National Bosses' Day last week. (a great indication of the incredible leadership across our network!) We know leadership shapes work culture and employee experience. We could not be more proud and grateful for the dedication, compassion and expertise of every leader on our team. Did your teams celebrate your leaders last week too?

Attention Dog Owners: We know you'd share your pumpkin spice lattes with your furry besties if you could, but that's not advised for obvious reasons. Our #Brookline doctor, Dr. Lisa Trout helped Dog O Day curate a list of Fall items your dog should avoid.. including some not so obvious ones. Let us know if anything on the list was particularly surprising! https://lnkd.in/eb_UuuBw
