Leading the Black Business Student Association at San Jose State University as President has been an incredibly rewarding experience. With Black students making up only a small percentage of the Lucas College of Business, fostering a strong, supportive community has been my top priority. So far, we’ve: ✅ Connected students with seasoned professionals for resume and career guidance ✅ Hosted company tours to provide firsthand insight into corporate environments ✅ Built a space where Black business students can connect, support one another, and grow ✅Grown the clubs membership by 50% Representation in business matters. It’s not just about being present—it’s about having a seat at the table and a voice in the room. As we celebrate Black History Month, I’m reminded that we are part of a legacy of excellence, resilience, and leadership. BBSA is dedicated to promoting unity and achievement while serving the community through corporate networking, mentorship, and social events.
