Bullseyes and bonding time 🏹🎯 Keri Honea, senior digital marketing specialist, shares how introducing her kids to a new sport inspired a passion in this #SikichHobbies. “I wanted to do archery since I was young, but there weren't any places near me growing up that offered it. When my kids were looking for a sport to play, I found an archery range in Dallas Forth Worth and took them there to try it out. My youngest son fell in love with it. When I learned adults could partake in the archery classes with the kids, I joined him." Keri and her son have been practicing archery together for three years, actively competing in indoor archery for the last two. This year will be the first year they will compete in outdoor tournaments. “While my son practices Olympic Recurve style, I practice Barebow, which means I have no sights or stabilizers on my bow, and everything comes down to my aim and my form with zero frills. Every now and then I consider switching to Olympic Recurve, but I really like the laid-back community of Barebow archers. The entire archery community is fantastic. I've made some great friends on our team, and my son has as well. Even if he decides to hang up his bow, I hope to continue practicing archery well into old age.” Stay tuned for the next feature to learn more about #TeamSikich. 📸: Keri Honea

Minimum core requirements jumped to 72 cores per purchase. Price increases of 150 to 1,200 percent are hitting mid-market organizations across the board. If you are still running VMware workloads and have not evaluated your migration options, the cost of staying is compounding every month. Azure is the logical destination for most VMware migrations, particularly for organizations already in the Microsoft ecosystem. Azure VMware Solution gives you a bridge path that does not require immediate full re-architecture. Consumption-based pricing eliminates the 72-core minimum entirely. And built-in security and compliance tools replace what you were managing separately on-premises. Dustin Miller breaks down what the migration path looks like, where organizations go wrong without a structured plan, and how Sikich's framework prevents the surprises that turn planned migrations into extended recovery operations. Join us for our Azure Health Check Webinar on August 27 at 11:00 AM ET to see it in action. https://lnkd.in/d6UG7fpm

If your organization is still running VMware workloads, the math has changed significantly. Broadcom's acquisition of VMware brought sweeping licensing changes that have left mid-market IT teams with higher costs, fewer options, and a tighter timeline than they planned for. The good news: Azure offers a well-supported, cost-effective migration path from VMware.
