𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘀 𝗱𝗼𝗻'𝘁 𝘀𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗲𝘀—𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝗱𝗼. You can have the most innovative products, but if your team isn’t aligned, driven, and focused, growth will grind to a halt. That’s the real talk from Itzik Cohen‎, CEO of PayZen‎ and a founder who’s taken multiple companies from 0 to 🚀. So, how do you forge a high-performance culture that drives long-term success? In SignalFire’s Founder Performance Mastery Series, Cohen shared some actionable tips: 🔥 𝗥𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗮𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗮 𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗲𝘀. In interviews, ask candidates how they personally connect with your mission—it’s a game-changer for finding passion-driven hires. 🗣️ 𝗙𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗻 𝗱𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘂𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆. Hold monthly open office hours and always speak last in meetings to get raw, unfiltered input. 📊 𝗟𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗿 𝗳𝗼𝗰𝘂𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝟑 𝗽𝗶𝘃𝗼𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗞𝗣𝗜𝘀. Not 30. Not 10. Just 3 metrics that truly reflect your company’s health. Finding the right ones takes time—be patient. 🛠️ 𝗔𝗱𝗮𝗽𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗮𝗰𝗵. What works for 10 people won’t for 100. Invest in building leaders around you who can scale with the company. High-performance cultures aren’t created by chance. They’re built daily—through intentional decisions, tough calls, and a relentless commitment to your mission. Check link in comments for the full article.👇 #StartupGrowth #Leadership #Culture #People

𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗸 𝗼𝗳 𝗮𝗻 𝗔𝗜 𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝘄𝗲’𝗿𝗲 𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗸𝗲𝘆 𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁: 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗱 𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗮. AI promises to radically enhance healthcare—from saving lives through earlier, more accurate diagnoses to personalizing patient engagement and driving health equity. But there’s a catch: AI models can’t learn without robust, standardized data. And healthcare data? It’s mostly locked away in silos and bogged down by strict regulations. 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙨𝙤𝙡𝙪𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣? 𝙎𝙢𝙖𝙧𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙙𝙖𝙩𝙖 𝙨𝙝𝙖𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜. 🏥 🔗 SignalFire’s latest article dives into how: - 𝗙𝗲𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 is reshaping how hospitals share data securely, balancing patient privacy with progress. - Emerging 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗰𝘆-𝗲𝗻𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗵 and 𝗵𝘆𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗱 𝗺𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗹𝘀 that can bridge the gap between regulations and innovation. - 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗲𝗳𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘀 like OMOP and FHIR that are moving the needle but need flexible new approaches in the AI era. If you're a healthcare leader, startup, or investor, understanding these dynamics isn’t just beneficial—it’s essential. Read how tech and healthcare can come together to turn data into life-changing insights in this post by Ed Simcox and SignalFire‎'s Sahir Raoof‎ and Tony Pezzullo‎. #HealthcareAI #Innovation #AI #HealthTech

How startups are harnessing big data and AI to simplify life for healthcare pros: 𝗙𝗼𝗿 𝗱𝗼𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀 Heart disease claims 1 in 3 lives, but overworked doctors often can’t provide full-time attention to every patient. Recora‎ is changing that. By analyzing data from virtual checkups, it alerts doctors to patients at higher risk of another heart attack. The result? An impressive reduction in readmission rates to 11%, well below the national average. 𝗙𝗼𝗿 𝗻𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲𝘀 Nurses spend nearly half their time on admin tasks instead of patient care. Enter Diligent Robotics‎ and Moxi, the robot that takes on non-patient-facing tasks like fetching supplies and delivering lab samples. Last year alone, Moxi freed up 200,000 hours, giving nurses more time for what matters most—caring for patients. 𝗙𝗼𝗿 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗲𝘀 Payors lose $300 billion annually on unused or unnecessary medications. The Wellth‎ app changes that by using behavioral economics to boost medication adherence with an insurance-subsidized monthly rewards program. Miss a pill and you lose part of your reward—a smart use of loss aversion that’s led to a 42% drop in hospital visits for users. 𝗙𝗼𝗿 𝗽𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗺𝗮 Biotechs spend 70% of their budget on R&D, yet many of them still rely on Excel, consultants, and disparate software to manage it. Auxilius‎ redefines this process by automating everything into one streamlined accounting tool for clinical trials, saving pharma companies 3 to 4 days of work every month. 𝗙𝗼𝗿 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 Marketing healthcare services on platforms like Facebook without adhering to strict privacy laws can lead to million-dollar fines. Freshpaint‎ a makes it easy for companies to stay HIPAA-compliant by filtering out sensitive customer data, while still using powerful analytics offered by top advertisers. Check the link in the comments for more on how startups are helping patients directly.

  • How to get promoted in engineering, according to an analysis of more than 1 billion job changes from the last two decades: 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 Engineers from elite engineering colleges see only a slight lift in their ability to get promoted. After three years, specialization and experience matter much more than pedigree. Most surprisingly, we found engineers who never attended college have consistently been able to land jobs and get promoted. For instance, about 30% of data engineers don’t have a degree—roughly the same rate as a decade ago. 𝗝𝗼𝗯 𝘁𝘆𝗽𝗲 The best hack for an early-career promotion? Having a specialization. Engineers in fields like DevOps and data engineering can shave an average of six months to more than a year off the average time to a promotion, compared to general engineers. These jobs are more in demand because fewer people have those specialized skills. 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗻𝘆 𝘁𝘆𝗽𝗲 It takes 2.3 years for the average startup engineer to get promoted, compared to 2.7 years at a big company. Considering this is across tens of millions of developers, these small differences are quite significant. A lesson: If you’re looking for a promotion and have been in your job for three years and it hasn’t happened, you might want to consider a conversation internally (or looking to other companies). In those situations, strategic lateral moves to diversify experience typically result in raises and promotions faster. We built this analysis using our Beacon AI data platform, which taps into dozens of data sources covering more than 80 million companies. • Why measuring engineering productivity matters for startups: The key to scaling your startup isn't just about hiring more engineers—it's about maximizing their impact. But how do you measure something as complex as software engineering productivity? It's not as simple as counting lines of code or tracking hours worked. That's why we're excited to share insights from 🌎 Vitaly Gordon‎, CEO of Faros AI‎, on smart ways to measure engineering productivity. As Vitaly explains, context is crucial. What works for an early-stage startup focused on rapid innovation will differ from a scaling company balancing growth and stability. The SPACE framework offers a holistic approach, measuring satisfaction, performance, activity, communication, and efficiency. But the specific metrics that matter most will depend on your startup's unique goals, operating model, and culture. As your org grows, you’ll also need to adjust the metrics you measure for the best approach. Want to learn how to create an engineering productivity program tailored to your startup's needs? Check out our blog post featuring Vitaly's full insights on selecting the right metrics for your stage and goals (link in comments). #EngineeringProductivity #StartupGrowth
