🚀 Sec4AI4Sec Co-Organizes the TAIC Workshop at ITASEC 2025 We are proud to share that the Sec4AI4Sec project co-organized the "Trustworthy AI for Cybersecurity (TAIC)" workshop at ITASEC 2025, the premier Italian Conference on CyberSecurity, held from February 3-8 in Bologna, Italy. The workshop, organized by Giorgio Piras and Maura Pintor (UNICA), Battista Biggio (UNICA), Katja Tuma (VUA), Fabio Massacci (UNITN), and Emanuele Iannone (@TUHH), focused on the intersection of AI and cybersecurity. 🔹 "Sec 4 AI" – Exploring security challenges in AI systems. 🔹 "AI 4 Sec" – Leveraging AI to enhance cybersecurity. A highlight of the workshop was the invited student talk by Maria Camporese, titled: 💡 Using ML filters to help automated vulnerability repairs: when it helps and when it doesn’t", offering insights into AI-driven cybersecurity solutions studied within our project. We are excited about the discussions that took place and look forward to further collaborations in advancing trustworthy AI for cybersecurity! 📢 Read more about our involvement here: https://lnkd.in/d-xfyEb5 🔗 Learn more about the TAIC workshop: https://lnkd.in/dRi5z8Dz #CyberSecurity #AI #MachineLearning #ITASEC2025 #Sec4AI4Sec #TAIC #ArtificialIntelligence

🚨 Is Your AI Learning from Vulnerable Code? AI is revolutionizing software development, but what if the code it learns from is poisoned? 🤯 🔴 CVE-Poisoning happens when AI models are trained on code that contains known vulnerabilities—either #unintentionally (scraping untrusted sources) or #intentionally (as an attack). This could silently weaken AI-driven development tools. At FrontEndART Software Ltd., as part of the Sec4AI4Sec project, we’re taking action: 🔍 Building a CVE knowledge base to track vulnerable code 🛡️ Developing AI-powered de-poisoning tools to clean training data ⚡ Enhancing security of AI-driven development As part of WP4, we’re researching AI attack vectors and defense strategies to keep AI training data safe. 💡 AI is only as secure as the data it learns from. Are we doing enough to protect it? Let’s discuss! 👉 Learn more here: https://lnkd.in/dfyZsNFt #AI #CyberSecurity #MachineLearning #CVE #SoftwareSecurity #Innovation

🔍 Advanced #AI-based False Positive Filtering for #SAST Tools Static Analysis Security Testing (SAST) tools are essential for catching vulnerabilities early, but false positives remain a major hurdle. 🚨 They lead to "alert fatigue," making it harder for developers to focus on critical warnings. 💡At FrontEndART Software Ltd. as part of the Sec4AI4Sec project, we’ve developed an AI-based solution using CodeBERT + LSTM with impressive results: ✅ 96% accuracy ✅ 82% recall ✅ 91% precision 📊 Tested on the largest dataset yet—over #300k entries! 🎯 Our mission is to make #SAST tools more effective and practical, cutting through the noise to enhance software quality and security. 👉 Find out more here: https://lnkd.in/dhKA6Bpt What are your thoughts on leveraging AI to improve SAST tools? Let’s discuss! #AI #CyberSecurity 🔐 #SAST #SoftwareDevelopment #Innovation

Introducing an Attack Repository for Threat Analysis and Security Testing of AI-Based Systems As #AI models become integral to safety-critical and business-critical software systems, their security is more important than ever. However, these models are not immune to #vulnerabilities, which can be exploited to disrupt services or even harm users. At USI Università della Svizzera italiana and Università degli Studi di Cagliari, we are addressing this challenge by developing an attack repository that combines: - An attack taxonomy, categorizing various threats to AI systems. - Links to security testing tools, enabling practitioners to mount and analyze these attacks on systems under test. This resource empowers #AI engineers to conduct comprehensive threat analyses by exploring attack categories and identifying relevant tools tailored to their scenarios. We’re excited to announce the preliminary version of the attack repository, now available on the Sec4AI4Sec website: https://lnkd.in/dn9spYbx This repository is a key milestone in the #Sec4AI (security for AI) part of the project, focusing on the use of security testing techniques to uncover vulnerabilities in AI-based systems. Check it out and join us in strengthening the security of AI-driven technologies! #ArtificialIntelligence #CyberSecurity #AIEngineering #SecurityTesting #ThreatAnalysis #AIModels #Sec4AI4Sec #AIVulnerabilities #TechInnovation #AIResearch
