In January, Southern California faced extreme weather, with record-high wind gusts creating severe wildfire conditions. San Diego Gas & Electric took serious measures to manage the electric grid safely, including implementing Public Safety Power Shutoffs (PSPS) to prevent wildfires. This decision was not taken lightly – we understand that many of our customers were without power for days, disrupting their lives. We deeply appreciate their patience and understanding – your resilience and cooperation were invaluable as we navigated these extraordinary circumstances. I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to the communities we are privileged to serve, and our partner agencies that support us. Our mission remains clear: to safeguard the lives, property and well-being of our region. Thank you for your continued support and for standing with us in our commitment to safety.
