The results from our Holiday Food Drive $5 Hunger Bag campaign are in! Throughout the month of December, shoppers at Albertsons, Vons, and Pavilions generously purchased enough $5 Hunger Bags to provide a whopping 248 pallets of food — nearly 395,000 pounds of shelf-stable items for the families we serve! 🛒🥫 The last of 11 truckloads were delivered to our Miramar and Vista warehouses last week and will help replenish our shelves and fuel our mission in the coming months. Last week, our hardworking Development team volunteered at a Senior Food Program distribution at the MAAC Center in Chula Vista. As the champions behind securing vital funding for our key programs and initiatives, they had the unique opportunity to witness the powerful impact of their work firsthand. Together, with the entire team of volunteers, they distributed more than 2,200 pounds of food to local seniors in our community. Wow! We are blown away by the outpouring of support we've received to help those affected by the devastating wildfires in LA. It's so heartwarming to see our community come together in support of our neighbors to the north during this time of need. Thanks to you, more than 40,000 pounds of food and supplies have been collected so far with deliveries to the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank starting last week. These supplies are directly helping families and individuals facing unimaginable challenges.
