  • 💡Last week, we joined Downeast Digital for the Winter Forum: Innovate to Disparity Zero event from January 30 to February 2. Here’s how it went. 💭 This event brought together healthcare leaders and innovators from all over to tackle one of the industry’s biggest challenges: ensuring digital innovation creates equitable and impactful solutions to help solve healthcare system inefficiencies. Healthcare is a top priority, and access to care is essential for our communities - something RozieAI takes very seriously, which is why we were thrilled to be partnering with Downeast Digital again. Throughout the four days, we engaged in powerful conversations about digital accessibility, birth equity, aging in place, the role of AI in transforming healthcare, and more.     By now, we all know about DeepSeek. Hosting and running it confirms that it is on par or better than LLMs offered by the current AI leaders - OpenAI, Anthropic, Meta. DeepSeek has declared that it achieved this breakthrough with a fraction of the resources and for us it is available at a fraction of the cost. AI innovation and competition is just warming up, stay tuned for the next stunning announcement. In the meantime, there are critical questions that arise for enterprises. How do we make investments that won’t be eroded by rapid technological change? As an enterprise, what steps do we need to take to avoid compromising security, privacy, and intellectual property (IP) while in pursuit of AI innovation? These breakthroughs also remind us that we simply can’t be spectators. Now that DeepSeek has lowered the cost barrier, use cases that we once shelved because they were cost prohibitive can now be revisited. We need to be in the game or risk the competition passing us by. For enterprises exploring how to elevate your business with AI, maybe some of the lessons we learned last year by co-innovating with our clients and graduating over 10 AI powered CX projects to production may offer insight into best practices. In our successful initiatives, we started with design thinking to distill high priority use cases. We asked our clients, “What’s the experience you want to deliver? What’s the value the experience delivers for your end users? How can we quantify the ROI for the business?” Then, we evaluated technical feasibility. We had the benefit of abstracting out the AI technology churn in frameworks, LLMs and other aspects of the tech stack to focus on composing rapid prototypes by using the experience kits we had pre-built. We were then able to perform user testing to validate the market potential of the solutions. Our product teams played a key supporting role in maintaining the experience kits to stay abreast of the latest releases. This enabled our clients to shift their focus to creating a roadmap for their experiences with product rigor focusing on value-added features that take advantage of best of breed AI surfaced to them via the experience kits. They could also operate with confidence knowing that with those experience kits they would also automatically realize cost and performance benefits. We were able to impress upon our clients that their users will judge them based on the experiences they deliver, not just the technologies they choose. We demonstrated to them that with an experience-led approach to AI application development, they can accelerate time to market, to learn, act on user feedback, and operate effectively, the primary method of differentiation in this new world of AI .
