At last night's School Board meeting, we welcomed Stephanie Whitehorn, who took the oath of office along with re-elected incumbent board members Don Barlow and Karen MacLaughlin. Congratulations to our school board members!

Today, Jeff Kappers officially retires from RPS after 33 and 1/2 years of working in the transportation department. Jeff has been integral to how the transportation department functioned, planning bus routes, helping families determine if they were eligible for bussing, communicating between the district and First Student buses and vans, and on days when we are trying to determine if we would call a snow day, Jeff was out driving the roads at 4 a.m. to make sure busses could safely transport our students to and from school. Thank you, Jeff, for your many years of service to RPS, and we wish you the best in your retirement! #HappyRetirement
