Our very own Æthonauts Aleks Jakulin will be speaking at the Æ Summit: Open Problems for AI, exploring Meso Ethics—what organizations can do to foster ethical AI practices. This ties closely to Aleks’ work on self-organization and the creation of tools and incentives to drive more productive and ethical collaboration at the level of intra- or inter-organizational pipelines or protocols. The summit will focus on developing a shared language that connects AI researchers, policymakers, and entrepreneurs while advancing the state of AI. 📍 Where: Boston’s Museum of Science 📅 When: December 4–6, 2024 👉 Register now: https://lnkd.in/dhfmGVJS Don’t miss this opportunity to engage with thought leaders and explore the forefront of AI research, applications, and ethics. Society stands at a critical juncture. AI is the railroad of the new industrial revolution and Europe needs to start laying more tracks. Politicians who say this aren't always walking their talk. But Senator Franziska Giffey is the real deal: once the first female mayor of Berlin, a former minister in Angela Merkel's cabinet, and now a powerful player advancing Germany's innovation agenda by forging key alliances with innovation hotspots around the world. We've just signed an LOI to bridge Berlin's growing AI ecosystem with Boston's. Æthos has placed its first bet on Berlin as a future leader in Europe's pivot to building, not just using AI. We used her Boston visit to gather 20 top AI ecosystem players to ask how this 'bridge thing' is going to work? How could we measure its success? We've got practical ideas and we want feedback! We're gathering a group of global leaders and experts to refine a list of problem statements and proposed initiatives. If the words 'ecosystem mapping', 'data sandboxes', or 'responsible AI' excite you and you want to make a difference, I'd love to encourage it.
