DSRT Surf construction progress as of today March 10, 2025. Currently 82 degrees and sunny and just a little over a year from welcoming our first guests and future residents. Our team at Beach Street Holdings alongside our collective project team at #DSRTSurf remains focused and confident we’ll be delivering and making waves at North America’s first man-made surf anchored for-sale residential project by the Spring of 2026. Our 5.5 acre Wavegarden Cove will anchor our 57 villas (see renders) of which our first phase of surf-front (golf/turf out the back) villas is currently on schedule to be complete and available for purchase upon opening. Had the privilege of touring these students through the new Public Health Lab, giving them an inside look at a project under construction. The kudos for the RATIO designed Journeyman at The American Factory keep on coming in! This time the project has been named a finalist in the Adaptive Reuse category by the Greater Chicago Food Depository as part of their 37th Annual Commercial Real Estate Awards. For Journeyman, RATIO Design, collaborating with Berglund Construction and Project Management Advisors, Inc. (PMA), worked to preserve and enhance the important history of a former ANCO manufacturing plant in Valparaiso, Indiana by transforming the site into a 140,000 SF hospitality destination district. The result of which is a development that showcases Journeyman’s brand with unique event spaces as well as eye-catching food & beverage areas including a Whiskey Garden, the Union Hall Restaurant, the Sea of Monsters Brewery. Once again, congratulations go out to my colleagues behind this great project, a team led by Andrea Caputo, IIDA and featured the design talents of Jess Hughes, NCIDQ, Wesley Urschel, AIA, CSI, Steven Pantazis, Wei Lei, Amber Watkins, Michael A. Weiner, Lisa Esterrich, PLA, ASLA as well as the recently retired Dave Valaskovic, AIA. The winners in all categories will be announced in a ceremony taking place at the Salt Shed on Wednesday, April 23, 2025. Wish us luck!

PMA attended the Bisnow New York Multifamily Development and Investment Conference this week, highlighting a 2025 outlook, trending markets, and the pros and cons of the recent zoning approval of the 485x program. Thanks to some of the industry leaders of design, development, lenders, and legal representation ; some of which included Taconic Partners, L+M Development , KPF, Herrick, MAG Partners, Rockrose, Rybak Development , MGNY Development , Ashland Capital Partners, Impact Investing, Northern Trust Bank , and more , all provided their perspective on office conversions, rental and condo markets, financing outlooks, and industry trends. PMA is appreciative of this feedback , and here to assist on planning and executing projects.

Enroute to Atlanta - getting my Healthcare conference mojo going for 2025. I'm ecstatic to report that my friends Sandesh Jagdev - Founder of LOGIMAXX, INC. [a logistics automation consulting company], Thru Shivakumar - Founder of Cohesion [an intelligent building systems consulting company] and I will be presenting .. again...at the legendary 57th Annual Michigan AIA LARA Health Facilities Conference. We present at 145pm EST on March 20th, 2025....in two weeks. The venue is the historic Amway Grand Plaza Hotel in Grand Rapids. 400 people have already signed up. I'm shivering in my boots [not]...we are frankly ecstatic. Sandesh, Thru and I presented on November 14th 2024 [see pictures aloing with AMFP - Association of Medical Facility Professionals Chicago moderator Jessica Sherwood ]at a well received AMFP Chicago - Association of Medical Facility Professionals Chicago Chapter event on achieving Intelligent Healthcare Facilities. Our event in Grand Rapids will feature much more content...we are learning and applying everyday on the topic of creating Intelligent Healthcare Facilities - and are publishing these learnings on our respective websites - see mine at the Project Management Advisors, Inc.
