We're thrilled to announce the opening of our new, cutting-edge biomanufacturing facility in Alameda, California! The 25,000 sq ft space at Marina Village marks a significant step in expanding our biomanufacturing capabilities and supporting the growing demand for continuous fermentation. What does this mean for partners of Pow.Bio? ✅ AI-Enabled Continuous Fermentation: Our facility boasts a fleet of dual-chamber continuous systems, showcasing our unique approach to AI-driven biomanufacturing. ✅ Increased Scale-Up Capacity: Seamlessly transition from gram-scale experimentation to producing hundreds of kilograms of ingredients. ✅ Rapid Process Development: Our advanced fermentation software allows for rapid process development, in weeks, not months. Predictive control enables autonomous fermentation, reducing variability and increasing manufacturing efficiency. ✅ Dedicated Food-Grade Production: As an FDA-registered facility, we offer a state-of-the-art cleanroom for clients in the food and beverage industries. ✅ Enhanced Downstream Processing: Expanded DSP capabilities, including spray drying and lyophilization, to meet a wide range of product finishing needs. This facility serves as a real-world model for the scalable deployment of our intelligent fermentation platform, capable of producing a wide range of bio-based products for various industries, including food, agriculture, materials, chemicals, and medicines. Many thanks Elaine Watson (AgFunder) and Daniela Castillo Monagas (World Bio Markets & Bio Innovations Midwest) for covering the story!
