Crafting the Future of Food with Fermentation!

About us

By 2050, global demand for animal protein will more than double, pushing current food systems to unsustainable limits. To address this, Pawsible Foods is innovating across three key areas: fungal strain engineering, feedstock conversion, and bioreactor design. Our first product, Kavaka™ Mycoprotein for pets, is a nutrient-dense, sustainable protein developed specifically for optimal animal health. Derived from starch-based food side streams, Kavaka™ provides a complete amino acid profile, along with soluble and insoluble fibers and functional prebiotics to enhance pet vitality. This high-quality protein source offers a low-carbon alternative to conventional proteins, aligning advanced nutrition with environmental sustainability. Pawsible Foods is dedicated to transforming global protein production with sustainable, scalable solutions that address critical inefficiencies in today’s food system. Our work supports a future where protein needs are met responsibly, safeguarding both planetary health and long-term food security

🎉 Update 🎉 Glad to announce that Pawsible Foods is 1/5 startups selected for The Next Generation Pet Food Program by Mars Petcare and Big Idea Ventures, in collaboration with AAK and Bühler Group. Mars operates pet food companies such as Royal Canin, Pedigree and Whiskas, with 94 factories worldwide, serving over 450 million pets. Royal Canin alone does >1.2 million tonnes of product every year. The program partners with companies focused on developing new and innovative ingredients that are safe, low-carbon, accessible, nutrient-dense, and delicious, all while prioritising animal welfare, safety, and quality. Mars is exploring novel ingredients due to: - Scarcity: Animal protein production is growing at only 1.5-2%, but a sixfold increase is needed to meet future demand. - Sustainability: Animal protein will still account for >40% of the carbon footprint in 2030. - Consumer Concerns: 63% of pet owners are worried about the environmental impact of pet ownership. Startups were selected on the basis of: - Innovation - Collaboration Openness - Carbon Reduction Pathways - Production Volume Capability The 4 other startups include: - String Bio Private Limited (Ezhil) - MiAlgae (Christopher) - BiomeMega (Gustavo) - KIDEMIS (Constantin) Looking forward to pitch at the Asia-Pacific Agri-Food Innovation Summit at the Singapore International Agri-Week (SIAW) on 19th November. Only the start :) Samyak

Proud to announce Pawsible Foods as one of the first 9 startups funded by WTFund! 🐾 Pawsible Foods is tackling the future of protein by developing an innovative fermentation process that transforms food side streams into Kavaka™ Mycoprotein—a sustainable, high-protein, and high-fiber alternative to traditional animal proteins. By addressing the global challenge of food security, Pawsible Foods is initially focused on pet nutrition but plans to extend its innovation to livestock feed and eventually human food. This breakthrough approach offers a scalable solution to meet the rising demand for protein as the world’s population grows and climate deteriorates. With strategic B2B partnerships and unmatched agility, they are positioned to make a significant impact as they expand over the next two years. We’re excited to support Samyak Baid, Armaan Dhanda, and the Pawsible Foods team as they continue to innovate and create a more resilient global food supply! 🌍🚀 #WTFund #WTFunded
