In just over 2 years, Overture portfolio company Lydian has scaled up from lab-scale to producing 25 gallons of e-fuel per day at its pilot plant in North Carolina. Lydian has developed a technology that uses waste CO2, water, and renewable electricity to produce a drop-in sustainable aviation fuel with up to to 95% lower emissions than today's jet fuel. Today Overture portfolio company Moment Energy announced their $15M Series A co-led by Amazon's Climate Pledge Fund and Voyager Ventures. Moment Energy is reducing the cost of energy storage deployment and creating a circular solution for EV batteries without compromising performance. Moment Energy will use this funding to accelerate the production of their high-performing Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) from repurposed EV batteries. Just over 2 months ago, the company received $20 million from the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) to build its first gigafactory in Texas.
