Over in Istanbul, we recently held the 3rd edition of our ‘Train the Trainer’ Enterozone Summit. In this two-day event, healthcare professionals from across Türkiye, Egypt, Tunisia, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and South Africa were brought together to share their knowledge of digestive health, with a view to strengthen the quality of care and advice they can provide. Covering a wide range of topics from the benefits of probiotics, to looking after gut health, attendees took part in a mix of presentations, clinical insight sessions, expert speeches and Q&A sessions. By facilitating this exchange of expertise and guidance, the summit contributed to our mission of simplifying self-care, reducing barriers to healthcare and bringing health to the hands of our consumers. ‘Hola México’ was the cry for members of our leadership team as they inaugurated our new local offices and visited the team at our Ocoyoacac manufacturing site. Also on the agenda was hosting a regional town hall and meeting local customers face to face to understand what they need and expect from Opella. Opella Brazil rocked its first annual convention, bringing together 330 employees from across the business. The theme was ‘The Self Care Revolution’, reflecting Opella’s challenger mindset and commitment to making self-care as simple as it should be.    It was an electrifying three days, filled with workshops, talks and opportunities to connect with colleagues. To boost excitement and energy, each team adopted a special theme tune, complete with guitars, drums, and many a microphone! 🎸   The jam-packed agenda included specialized training from the sales team, sessions on brand and culture, presentations on all our brands, commercial updates and an Opella awards ceremony.     In true Opella spirit, the team finished the convention feeling motivated and connected – ready for the year ahead, All In. 🐍The Snake is said to be a symbol of wisdom in Vietnamese culture, often associated with transformation. So, what better timing to host the opening ceremony of the Opella Vietnam office than under the backdrop of the new Lunar Year of the Snake! Located in Ho Chi Minh City, the office is aptly named 'La Nha,' meaning ‘home’, reflecting its design as a premier workspace that nurtures collaboration and innovation. On opening day, the team immersed themselves in traditional Tet - Lunar New Year - festivities, complete with the exchange of Lucky Envelopes filled with heartfelt wishes, spreading joy and optimism for the year ahead. We can’t make self-care radically simple on our own. It is only by collaborating with our industry partners that we can make meaningful change… as they say, two heads are better than one. Our new Frankfurt office recently hosted 2025’ s first meeting of the Market and Consumer Healthcare Committee for 2025, chaired by our Germany General Manager, Theresa von Fugler. The German Association Pharma Deutschland, alongside three pharmacists, were in the Aqua Tower to take stock of the current situation and plan for the year ahead. Pharmacists are key to bringing health in the hands of communities – they provide safe access to medicine, expert guidance and essential healthcare services. We must also remember the pharmacies can be big or small, rural or urban. A one size fits all approach won’t work. As an industry, we must continue to ensure pharmacies have the resources to continue delivering the care that their patients rely upon. Want to know more? To enable our colleagues to foster collaboration and spark innovation, we’ve unveiled two brand new office spaces in the Philippines and South Korea. Our new co-working office space in the Philippines is based in the world's first EDGE Zero Carbon certified building - the Compass office at ARTHALAND Century Pacific Tower. Then across the water in South Korea, the team came together to hold a traditional Gosa ceremony for our Seoul office opening. This Korean ritual is often performed during the opening of a new office to pray for good luck, prosperity, and safety. Elements of the ceremony included: ·      Placing money in a pig’s mouth to seek financial success for the business. ·      Offering and distributing rice cakes to participants after the ceremony to share luck and blessings. ·      Bowing three times to wish for stability and success in the new endeavour. ·      Offering alcohol to the spirits to pay respect and invite blessings. These new offices will be centers where courageous, creative ideas can flourish, generating new ways we can bring health into more hands. We’ve marked the first anniversary of our Kuala Lumpur Hub in style, celebrating an honorary mention Impact award in the change management category from Shared Services Leaders Asia. This award from Asia's top platform for Shared Services Leaders is in recognition of the successful creation of our hub in Kuala Lumpur. Across the globe, our hubs provide operational business support on everything from finance, strategy, transformation, and engagement to people services and more. Kuala Lumpur, our first Asian hub, skyrocketed from a blank slate to a bustling office of 80 employees in just six months. Talk about a growth spurt! This level of acknowledgment just one year into our presence in Kuala Lumpur is all down to our courageous local team… always pushing boundaries and thinking differently. Viva Las Vegas! 🎲 No, we’re not talking about the casinos. Last week, we were in Vegas for the world’s biggest tech event, #CES 2025. Our Global Head of R&D and Innovation, Jonathan Reeves was on the ground to talk about the connection between healthcare and technology during the panel session: ‘The Rise of Personalized Medicine: Genomics and Beyond’. Healthcare technologies – such as telemedicine platforms, home diagnostic tools and healthcare apps – are important to us because they enable more people to take their health into their own hands. Not only do they reduce the burden on strained healthcare systems around the world, but they also make self-care simpler for our consumers. We’re all about making things simple at Opella, using credible science to innovate products that consumers can access and, crucially, understand.    The future of self-care is bright.
