The name 'Önundr,' with its Norse origins, is commonly interpreted to mean "victory of the ancestors." Some sources propose that Windermere might have been referred to as 'Onundr' for a certain period, possibly in honour of the Norse King. Our origins are intricately linked with the picturesque Windermere in the Lake District, and this meaningful association is the inspiration behind our company name, 'Onunda.' Onunda has partnered with Newcastle University, a globally recognised and ranked institution based in the North East. We are working with Newcastle University to develop Onunda’s HTC design elements in support of the pilot project for our robust technology solution. The University conducted a Feasibility Study on the suitability of the design, with findings confirming the technology’s merit.
