🌀 Is Your Positioning Keeping Up? Positioning isn’t something you can just set and forget. Too often, companies establish messaging early and stick with it, even as their products, markets, and customers evolve. That works… until it doesn’t. Eventually, your messaging starts to feel a little off. It doesn’t resonate the way it used to, and you realize you’re not telling the story your customers need to hear anymore. We’ve seen this happen at Olivine. The best-performing companies treat their positioning and messaging as a living, breathing asset. They make it a habit to revisit and refine it—especially when: 🚀 They’re launching new features or expanding into new markets 🕵️ A competitor makes a bold move 🌐 Their focus shifts to new customer segments or industries Here’s the good news: it doesn’t always take a full overhaul. Sometimes, small tweaks—like refining your value proposition or updating personas—can make a huge difference. So, when was the last time you took a fresh look at your positioning? What made you realize it was time for a change? #ProductMarketing #Positioning #Messaging #GoToMarket #MarketingStrategy #B2BMarketing #CustomerCentric

🌟 The Evolving Needs of B2B Clients in 2024: What We’re Seeing at Olivine Marketing As 2024 winds down, one thing is clear: the types of support companies are seeking have shifted—and it’s reshaping how we work with our clients at Olivine. In the past, many businesses were laser-focused on messaging and positioning. While those remain important, this year we’ve seen a sharp rise in demand for: 🤝 In-house support: Acting as an embedded partner to fill critical resource gaps. 🚀 End-to-end go-to-market strategies: Especially for high-stakes launches where execution is as critical as the strategy. 📄 Sales enablement: Delivering high-impact collateral like pitch decks, one-pagers, and persona frameworks that drive conversions. Why the change? 🧐 Competition is fiercer than ever, and businesses need partners who can step in quickly and make an impact—not just in strategy but in execution. This shift has been both challenging and exciting for us. It’s pushed us to rethink how we collaborate with clients, often functioning as an extension of their teams. 📅 Over the next few weeks, I’ll share insights from our work at Olivine, diving deeper into these trends and how we’re helping clients adapt. 👉 How about you? Have you noticed shifts in your own teams or industries this year? I’d love to hear your perspective. Let’s compare notes. 👇 #B2BMarketing #GoToMarket #ProductMarketing #SalesEnablement #MarketingTrends2024 #BusinessStrategy #MessagingAndPositioning #ClientSuccess #MarketingInsights

GTM/Product Marketing Expert | Helped 8+ Early Stage SaaS Products Find PMF Through a Custom GTM Strategy
🥷 (Steal This) Here's The Strategy That Amazons Marketing Team Used to Complete Their Projects on Time Despite Being Short-Staffed: When Amazon Web Services (AWS) reached out to me, their Product Marketing team was in a bit of a bind. Their team was at an abnormal capacity. They had a key Product Marketer out on paternity leave + several high-stakes projects already running. 🗻 **The challenge?** Ensuring no disruptions to their ambitious timeline for a full website migration—one that involved reviewing and updating content across their entire suite of cloud migration products and services. ⏳ **The stakes?** Any delays would mean pushing vital projects to the backlog, putting their growth targets at risk. They needed someone who could jump right in and pick up the slack while delivering high-quality results to keep their delivery dates on track. But they did it for 𝟰𝟬% 𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗽𝗲𝗿 than hiring a new employee. And 𝘀𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝟰𝟱% 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 compared to hiring a new employee. How did they do it? Here's how: They hired a Freelancer. Here's how it went: --- 1️⃣ **Hit the Ground Running:** I rapidly ramped up, immersing myself in the role for deep dives into product understanding, the scope of migration, and the greater context of their ongoing initiatives. 2️⃣ **In-depth copy review**: With the eagle's eye on detail, I reviewed and updated all the content and copy of their cloud migration offerings; ensured that messaging was clear, consistent, and on-point with positioning. 3️⃣ **End-to-End Project Execution**: I kept continuous communication going across cross-functional teams, ensuring every stage of migration kept to their roadmap and timeline. --- **And the Outcome?** ✅ AWS did not experience any delay in the aforementioned website migration. They were on schedule without sacrificing its quality. ✅ No backlog was built, and each critical project was on track with their high-value goals ✅ A fresh set of eyes and outsiders honed their messaging and amplified their cloud migration content. --- I'm very grateful for the opportunity to work with this efficient and collaborative team at AWS. If you're a 𝗚𝗹𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗹 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗻𝘆 or an 𝗘𝗮𝗿𝗹𝘆-𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗦𝗮𝗮𝗦 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗽 who is either Short-Staffed or doesn't have a Product Marketing Specialist... And you need an experienced Product Marketing freelancer to step in and deliver on critical initiatives WITHOUT the long-term cost of a full-time hire… Book an appointment with me using the "book an appointment" button next to my profile. Let me help you determine if I can best help keep your projects on track and your goals in reach in as little as 15 minutes. Talk Soon! #saasstartups #saas #b2bsaas
