    CEO at Oliver Wyman

Our teams at Oliver Wyman exemplify our values, expertise, and genuinely-human care every-day. I like to refer to it as love and rigor, which enables us to forge enduring client relationship. We are trusted to deliver in those transformative moments - the big moments - when our clients need us most.   It’s hard to encapsulate all that Oliver Wyman is, means, and does into just a few words. But we have done it in today’s edition of the Financial Times. Oliver Wyman is making bold moves to achieve real impact, breaking through with and for our clients.

What did our teams get up to in February? Here's a snapshot of some moments that brought them together, fostering connections, learning, reflections, and, in some instances, friendly competition. ➡️ Across the Americas teams joined watch parties as our Global Black Network watched as Kipp Colvin, an empowerment coach and motivator, discussed the art of belonging as part of Black History Month speaker series. ➡️ In London, our Women at Oliver Wyman (WOW) employee resource group hosted a thought-provoking panel discussion, featuring women leaders who shared insights and personal experiences on sustaining a balanced career. It was also LGBTQ+ History month in the UK and the London cafe had pillars where our teams could find out about LGBTQ+ icons through history. ➡️ In Atlanta, colleagues took a swing at mini-golf, enjoying time to reconnect outside the office. ➡️ Across the Middle East, team members participated in marathons across different cities, embracing the challenge in true team spirit. ➡️ In Riyadh, our colleagues celebrated Founding Day with food, office activities, and decorations that showcased the region’s rich cultural heritage. ➡️ Our Mexico City Data team got creative in a friendly MasterChef-style salsa contest, where colleagues had the chance to taste and vote for their favorites.

  • A holistic approach with effective policies and regulations is crucial to ensure AI becomes a force for positive change, driving economic growth, social progress, and a more sustainable future. The Stanford AI Index Report 2023 estimated that the training run of ChatGPT-3 emitted around 28 times more carbon than the average American uses in one year, and more than 90 times more carbon than the average human uses in one year. To effectively develop, oversee, and deliver their AI strategies, governments need to first define their AI operating model at the national level.
