Exciting week for the Rowen Foundation! ORS is proud to be part of the team advancing Rowen’s mission.
President & CEO Rowen: Real Estate for R&D + Leading Global Innovation I Eisenhower Fellow I Partner HR&A I Founder Convergent
Capital to Capitol: Advancing Rowen’s Mission This week, the Rowen team took our vision to Washington, D.C., engaging with elected officials to discuss industry recruitment, #workforce development, and the critical role of Georgia’s #highereducation institutions in shaping the future of innovation. Just 24 hours later, we were back under the Gold Dome, continuing the conversation with state leaders on how Rowen can drive economic development, strengthen key industries — #agriculture, #lifesciences, #energy, #biotech, and the #environment — and attract next-generation businesses to Georgia. And, an early morning run to tie it all together. Exciting momentum as we build a future where research, innovation, and economic opportunity intersect. #Georgia #MetroAtlanta #Rowen #EconomicDevelopment #Innovation #FutureOfWork Rowen Foundation

On the AJC's Politically Georgia, our CEO, Howard Franklin made a critical point: “The last 30 days have shown us that you don’t have to be on Capitol Hill to feel the impact of Washington.” That’s exactly why Ohio River South has expanded its presence in Washington, DC — to ensure that businesses, policymakers, and stakeholders in the South don’t just adapt to federal decisions but help drive them. With an election year in full swing and major debates over federal funding, infrastructure, and regulatory shifts, Washington’s decisions will have lasting consequences for state and local economies. ORS is on the ground, helping clients navigate and engage with decision-makers at the highest levels. Bringing deep public affairs expertise and federal experience from working on the #Trump campaign and at the U.S. Department of Energy, EPA, and DOT, Andy Beck is helping to lead the charge in DC as we continue to connect #Southern priorities to national policy. Washington isn’t waiting. Neither are we. On Monday, Ohio River South kicked off the first day of the 2025-2026 General Assembly with our 4th Annual Bipartisan Brunch! We welcomed elected and appointed officials from all levels of government and both sides of the aisle and served up a gourmet southern brunch alongside clients, colleagues and friends. The event also provided an opportunity for everyone to meet our newest team members: Executive Vice President of Government Relations Don Balfour, and Executive Vice President of Public Affairs and Communications Andy Beck. A special thank you to Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger and Attorney General Chris Carr for stopping by to discuss their respective legislative priorities for the new biennial and to Leroy Chapman Jr., Editor-in-Chief at the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Each year we look forward to hosting this event as a rare chance to celebrate collaboration across party lines and across sectors. As our Bipartisan Brunch becomes one of the many traditions under the #GoldDome, we’re happy to see new and returning guests. We look forward to what the new #legislativesession has in store and hope to host you again soon! Dream Big has been a core value of Atlanta Tech Village since its inception back in 2012. In the years since, we have cultivated a community of entrepreneurs, advisors, ecosystem players and supporters to accelerate Atlanta’s growth into a top 5 tech hub. A decade later, our work continues as we expand to our next location in South Downtown Atlanta. In the heart of the city (literally where Atlanta began), we have the honor to be a significant player in the revitalization of South Downtown. We don’t take it lightly: this area has held the identity as the epicenter for entrepreneurship and opportunity in our city, and larger, the southeast. Today, we are thrilled to officially cut the ribbon to a space that expands our support to the future of innovators, disruptors, and community builders who will change our city, our nation, and our world. In July of 2024, we received our permits to begin construction of our new location, ATV Sylvan. In January of 2025, we completed the project and celebrated our grand opening. This is what it means to move at startup speed. We are unafraid to build in public, to bring our community along this exciting journey, and to test and iterate as we grow alongside the incredible people who inhabit our spaces. Thank you to the leaders who spoke at the Grand Open to celebrate our new space: Mayor Andre Dickens, David Cummings, Donnie Beamer Jr., CFA, AJ Robinson, and our fearless leader, Aly Merritt. Thank you to the many individuals who made this possible, the dedicated visionaries and workers who spent many hours meticulously building out our new location, the early adopters who have new offices in Sylvan, and most of all - thank you to our community, the people that make our physical spaces special. A building is nice, but a community is magic. We’re so proud to take on the next decade and beyond with you.

This morning a monumental moment happened in Atlanta. A city where people live, not for the ocean views nor the ski-sloped mountains, but to push the most inside of them. We are a city where everyone has a hustle. A hustle to create a better life for themselves and their family. A hustle to build. A hustle to sell. How fitting is the opening of the Atlanta Tech Village - Sylvan in South Downtown Atlanta, where the original founding neighborhood of Atlanta is now home again for founders and entrepreneurs? Starting today, the ATV - Sylvan is open! We've seen the compounding impact of entrepreneurship and believe there is no better way to make a generational impact than by exercising the entrepreneurial muscle. The entrepreneurial spirit is our city's (and country's) greatest asset and now we have an even bigger playground and environment to build!
