We’re proud to announce the New Balance Foundation’s $1 million commitment to the Skowhegan River Park in Central Maine—one of the largest private gifts to the project to date. As construction of the riverfront boardwalk begins this month, this investment will help reconnect downtown Skowhegan to the Kennebec River while advancing a bold vision for outdoor access and community connection. The project will include the Northeast’s first adjustable whitewater wave, expanded river access, trails and gathering spaces. It will also feature the New Balance Foundation Boardwalk and Basecamp Gear Library, designed to make outdoor recreation more accessible to all. With more than $19.5 million invested in Maine communities since 1981, this commitment reflects New Balance Foundation's ongoing focus on building healthier, more active and connected communities.

Independent since 1906, we empower people through sport and craftsmanship to create positive change around the world.
About us
In 1906, New Balance began as a humble one-man operation founded on the belief that “we were born to move,” and has since grown into an international corporation, selling footwear and apparel in over 120 countries and employing over 14,000 associates worldwide. Our mission has always been to support the performance of athletes, and with an unparalleled focus on quality and craftsmanship, we’ve come to set the standard for comfort and fit in an industry all too often driven by hype. We’re incredibly proud of our history and how far we’ve come, but companies don’t thrive for over a century by being content. Whether it’s setting a new style trend, retooling our manufacturing process, or building a new state-of-the-art headquarters, we pursue innovation with a spirit of fearless independence. As the only privately held major footwear company in the world, we’re free to do things our way, pushing limits and testing boundaries as we continually reimagine what could be. After all, the status quo isn’t static. But doing things our way wouldn’t mean much if we weren’t also doing them the right way. We invest in our associates as they invest in us, and as we move forward, we make a point of giving back, supporting communities around us through ambitious philanthropic efforts and involvement programs. We are a company that cares, and our culture is one of integrity and teamwork where together we become greater than the sum of our parts.

We are proud to celebrate Chris Davis (Global Brand President & CMO) on being named to Forbes’ World’s Most Influential CMOs list for the fourth consecutive year. This recognition reflects more than leadership. It represents the global team, shared ambition and challenger mindset that continue to shape how we show up in sport and culture. Congratulations to Chris and to every associate who brings our brand to life each day. The best is still ahead.
I am truly honored to be recognized by Forbes on the World’s Most Influential CMOs list for the fourth consecutive year. While I am deeply grateful for the recognition, awards like this are never individual achievements. They are a reflection of an organization’s people, culture, values, and shared ambition. At New Balance, we have always believed that success isn’t about being the biggest, it’s about striving to be the best version of ourselves. We take a challenger brand mindset, aspire to be the most premium athletics brand in the world, and believe that the culture of sport is every bit as powerful as sport itself. This recognition belongs to our incredible teammates across the globe who bring that vision to life every day. Thank you for your passion, creativity, and commitment. Thank you to Linda Boff, Forbes, the Forbes CMO Network and congratulations to this year’s fellow honorees. I’m grateful to be included among such inspiring leaders. Our best work is still ahead. That, I can promise you. 👟 🔋 ⚡

This year, we turned Global Running Day into more. It became a full week of community, movement and shared experiences that celebrates what running means to each of us. Across New Balance, associates came together to run, walk, connect and reflect on the role running plays in our lives, within our teams and for our brand. From stepping outside for organized team runs to logging miles in our steps challenge, associates everywhere brought our run culture to life. The energy, participation and stories shared throughout the week made one thing clear: our momentum in running is strong and it starts with us.

When Katharine Stewart reflects on her 20 years at New Balance, one theme stands out: continuous growth. Since 2006, she’s taken on seven roles, each building toward her current position as Country Manager in South Africa. “One of the most valuable skills I brought from my previous roles was relationship management – building trust with customers, colleagues and partners,” she said. That foundation continues to shape her leadership today. As Country Manager, Katharine’s focus goes far beyond results. Her role centers on people, partnerships and long-term growth, with each week bringing a new rhythm. At the core of Katharine’s journey is a commitment to total customer satisfaction, one of New Balance’s guiding values. “I encourage my team to think beyond simply delivering a product or service and instead focus on creating long-term value and strong partnerships.” Thank you, Katharine, for your leadership, dedication and for bringing our #OneNB culture to life every day!

New Balance associates around the world continue to find meaningful ways to give back to the communities we serve. In Southeast Asia and Australia, our teams came together recently to support community-led initiatives that promote healthy, active living and create opportunity for youth and families. Associates in Vietnam celebrated the grand opening of a new playground at a local school, providing a safe and engaging space for students to play, learn and connect. In Melbourne, associates raced to climb 1,240 stairs across 54 floors in the city’s iconic tower, while raising funds for an organization that supports children on the autism spectrum. Shilo Henchey, Payroll Officer (Australia & New Zealand), shared her pride in being part of the NB team that completed the climb. “Climbing stairs together and supporting our community showcased what our values look like in real life.” Check out the photos below to see how New Balance associates are putting our values into action as #OneNB
