36 years ago today, Sir Tim Berners-Lee proposed the World Wide Web. And on Aug 6, 1991 he shared it on the alt.hypertext newsgroup. In his latest post, Netlify CEO Mathias Biilmann Christensen reflects on that milestone, and on the moment we’re in now: the rise of AI and what it means for how we build and ship software. He shares why he believes the web remains the best platform for delivering software—even as AI changes how we create it—and how Netlify is helping shape that future. A few things stand out: • Netlify sign-ups have grown 4× year over year • Nearly 8 million developers now build on the platform • Builders continue to prefer URLs over app stores When building is as fast as a prompt, the web is the only platform that can keep up. Who better than Sean Roberts to explain how MCPs improve the agent experience (AX)?
Every digital service has an agent experience now. Is yours any good? Sean Roberts from Netlify breaks down agent experience, #MCP, SEO in an #AI agentic web, and why human-in-the-loop can be an anti-pattern. Full episode: https://lnkd.in/db9cHsQk

On August 12, we’re going live with security experts Tobin South (WorkOS), Bobby DeSimone (Pomerium), and Mark Dorsi and Sean Roberts (Netlify). A new video of a ChatGPT-powered agent bypassing “I am not a robot” checks—while narrating its steps—has been making the rounds. This isn’t just a clever demo. It’s a wake-up call. You'll learn about: - Real-world cases where autonomous agents are already interacting with your web stack - Mapping new attack surfaces introduced by multi-agent orchestration - Closing the security gaps that leave production systems exposed If you’re working in security, AI/AX, or just trying to stay ahead of the curve — this session is for you. Join us live or get the recording sent to your inbox. https://ntl.fyi/4mMLR7l

From idea to deployment had previously been an arduous process with involved efforts like setup, API management, deployment, etc. Now it's as straightforward as intentionally crafting steps for Claude to follow combined with exceptional tooling to build with. Check out Mathias Biilmann Christensen's new post on how he brought a new blog publishing engine to life purely by prompting Claude as his engineer.
Biilmann Blog has become my personal playground for AI Driven Development. While the surface of it is a simple Blog, behind the scenes I'm building some really fun features like my personal MCP server, Agent Net Promoter Score dashboard, a "Chat with this blog" agent and latest a full publishing engine, plugging into Notion and using Open AI to convert notion documents to structured Markdown with Front-Matter. I wrote a post about the process of building all of this with Claude Code, without an IDE and without looking at code. It's like relearning how to program with a whole new toolset and a new layer of abstraction. I'm having a lot of fun with it. Here's a small video of me posting the article about the engine with the engine. Link to the post itself in the comments.
