⚡ From concept to field trial in just 10 weeks. NATO–Ukraine Joint Analysis, Training and Education Centre’s model, pairing Ukrainian end-users, NATO innovators, and field-testing pathways, is paving the way for faster and more impactful results for the Alliance. 🎯 The NATO Innovation Challenge, co-organized by NATO Allied Command Transformation (ACT) and the NATO–Ukraine Joint Analysis, Training and Education Centre, aimed to tackle one of the most pressing battlefield threats: Russian glide bombs, cheap-to-produce, high-speed, precision-guided weapons causing devastating impact. 🛰️ 3 winning solutions are now being built and tested in France, with the goal of deploying them in Ukraine, bringing operational countermeasures to the battlefield: ✅ a subsonic interceptor drone ✅ an AI-based trajectory prediction module ✅ an autonomous drone wall 🎯 Proof that mission-driven innovation can be rapidly turned from operational requirements into deployable technology: https://lnkd.in/gU-pBk5s #WeAreNATO #InnovationChallenge #DefenseInnovation #MilitaryTech #EmergingTech

🛫 Smarter planning for faster air operations. The NATO Air Operations Centre of Excellence has developed the first tool in NATO to automate air-to-air refuelling planning - ALEXO (Air to Air Refuelling Live Elaboration for eXercise and Operations). Created under the Centre’s innovation hub, ALEXO replaces manual processes with faster, more efficient scheduling, saving time, reducing workload, and increasing operational agility. 💡Successfully tested in French and NATO exercises, ALEXO is now being prepared for broader Allied use - a strong example of innovation turned into operational advantage. It: ✅ Speeds up planning in high-tempo air campaigns ✅ Adapts to real-time mission or weather changes ✅ Maximises use of limited refuelling assets 🔗 Read more here: https://lnkd.in/eCcmEKx9 #WeAreNATO #Innovation #AirPower #Interoperability #DigitalTransformation

🔐 Tomorrow’s threats demand today’s solutions, starting with quantum security. As part of NATO’s Innovation Continuum, NATO Allied Command Transformation (ACT) is exploring how we can protect the NATO Communications and Information Systems from quantum threats, at the heart of tomorrow’s mission-critical networks. 💡 As quantum technologies evolve, crypto agility, the ability to rapidly and seamlessly update cryptographic systems, is essential for NATO. With threats from quantum computing looming, the Alliance urgently needs quantum-safe, and interoperable systems. 🛡️Quantum experiments during SHINE, the concluding event of the Innovation Continuum, will accelerate adoption of crypto agility and cyber resilience concepts across the NATO Enterprise and Allied Nations, enabling rapid adoption of the most promising solutions. 🎯Specifically, Post Quantum Cryptography (PQC) and Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) will be evaluated through a dedicated Military Use Cases Framework. 🛠️ Through rigorous testing and adversarial simulations, NATO is strengthening its ability to deploy, keep, and secure quantum-safe digital infrastructure. 📌 For NATO, crypto agility is rapidly becoming a strategic imperative. 🔗 Learn more about the Innovation Continuum: https://lnkd.in/e7-bNZsz #WeAreNATO #DefenceTechnology #MultiDomainOperations #MilitaryInnovation #NATOTransformation
