Yesterday, the House Financial Services Committee held a pivotal hearing on how technology is shaping the future of finance. We were proud to submit a letter on behalf of the venture capital community highlighting the critical role of innovation in driving economic growth and advancing entrepreneurial success. We’re especially grateful to outgoing Chair Patrick McHenry for his steadfast leadership in supporting startups and fostering a strong capital market ecosystem. From advancing the JOBS Act to supporting initiatives like the DEAL Act and the Financial Innovation and Technology for the 21st Century Act, Chair McHenry has been a true champion for our industry. In 2021, NVCA recognized Chair McHenry’s efforts with our Startup Champion Award, and we remain deeply appreciative of his ongoing work to create opportunities for entrepreneurs across America.
