Every year, the VR/AR Association - Central Florida Chapter hosts a summit and conference to provide members of the MS&T community with a forum to learn about immersive technologies and how they are being developed and implemented both locally and globally. The National Center for Simulation has opened its annual scholarship applications for outstanding senior students seeking secondary education in a science, technology, engineering or mathematics (STEM) field at an accredited technical school, college, or university. This program is designed to recognize academic achievement & improvement in addition to recognizing students who have continually strived for excellence in high school and in their community. Up to $2,000 will be awarded to eligible students. NCS will also partner with the University of Central Florida on March 24 to conduct its annual Lou Frey Memorial Golf Tournament. Funds raised at this event support education and workforce initiatives that benefit both elementary, middle, and high school programs throughout Central Florida, including this scholarship fund. World Innovation Network (WIN) officially launched the National Spaceport Simulation Center (SPACE-SIM), as part of WIN’s Space ASTROpreneurial Accelerator outside the gates of Kennedy Space Center near Titusville, Florida, Jan. 31. Thank you to Capital Communications & Consulting for your outstanding work on this trip. Engaging our industry and academic partners in the Modeling, Simulation, and Training (MS&T) sector is a crucial aspect of the National Center For Simulation (NCS) mission, and this trip was timely as we focused on advocating for the promotion, protection, and growth of the MS&T ecosystem. Our outreach on Capitol Hill, where we meet with leaders and their staff, is especially important right now. It is vital to discuss how MS&T saves time, money, and lives, particularly as we navigate the evolving landscape of our federal government. Without a doubt, the MS&T community has not even begun to realize its potential. Thank you once again to everyone who supported this visit!
