A supportive manager can flip your internal battery from 🪫 to 🔋 at work— with just a few intentional steps. Sometimes, it’s not the job—it’s the environment. When managers create safe, supportive workplaces, everyone wins. Here are six ways to make that happen. It’s about acknowledging we’re people—with changing energy levels, emotional ebb and flow, and days where we just need that extra grace. A manager who gives you space to do your best work—can transform a routine job into a place where you actually want to show up; it’s human-centered leadership. 🧠 They regulate their own emotions, so when you have an off day, it doesn’t derail the whole team. 🧠 They understand that productivity doesn’t come from micromanagement, but from trust and clarity. 🧠 They see “heads-down time” not as a luxury, but as a pathway to better work. It’s about creating a culture where being a human isn’t a drawback. Ever had a manager who just got it? Let us know in the comments. And if you haven’t, what’s one shift you wish workplaces would make? #FutureOfWork #Neurodiversity #Leadership #HumanCenteredWork #Inclusion

A huge shoutout to Zach Wilson, founder of DataExpert.io, and Lucia Rios from Salesforce Accessibility for an incredible conversation about what #AIengineering is really about with our founder Jhillika Kumar. 🧠 For years, the narrative around AI has been filled with fear—“Will #AI replace human jobs?” But the truth is, AI isn’t replacing people; it’s reshaping the way we work. And in that shift, #neurodivergent talent has an opportunity like never before.AI thrives on diverse thinking. It requires pattern recognition, creative problem-solving, and a fresh approach to complex challenges—areas where neurodivergent minds naturally excel. Despite this, many neurodivergent professionals are still left out of the AI revolution. That’s why we created the Mentra x Salesforce #mentraship career pathway:  - To open doors to AI careers - To provide hands-on mentorship - To ensure neurodivergent professionals have the support they need to thrive This isn’t just about landing a job in AI. It’s about making sure AI is built by people who think in all kinds of ways—because the future of AI should be as diverse as the minds shaping it. Missed the event? No worries—this is just the beginning. If you're a neurodivergent professional looking to break into AI, check out our AI Engineering Pathways and take the next step in your career: https://lnkd.in/eQHgzk2g #AIEngineering #NeurodiversityInTech #Mentorship #FutureOfWork #CareerGrowth #Mentra

Here’s a hot take 💥 You don’t need to go to school and into debt to find your dream career. Because in today’s world, degrees don’t get jobs—#skills do. The most valuable people in the workforce aren’t the ones who followed the traditional path. They’re the ones who built their own. 💪 That’s why at Mentra we’re creating clear tracks into the future of work - making the pathway #accessible to careers in #AI, #Cybersecurity, #Software Engineering, #UX, and #Data Science for all styles of learning. #Neurodivergents have been hacking systems their whole lives. Many innovators like Richard Branson and Anthony Hopkins have said: the world wasn’t designed for them, so they built workarounds. The right system can unleash our full cognitive potential. Degrees tell you what someone memorized—not what they can do. So what does success through this new schema look like? ✅ A repeatable process for learning real-world, in-demand skills. ✅ A network that opens doors (instead of hoping a résumé does). ✅ A portfolio that proves what you can do—no permission needed. What’s your hot take? What’s a skill you’ve learned outside of school that’s helped you in your career? Or a course you’ve taken that helped you land a job? Drop it in the comments 👇

    • The text above reads: ‘In today’s world, degrees don’t get jobs – skills do.’ On the left, Jhillika wears a graduation cap holding a diploma with a large red ‘X’ over it, symbolizing the shift away from traditional degrees. On the right, various in-demand skills such as ‘Figma,’ ‘Tableau,’ ‘Project Management,’ ‘Cursor,’ ‘GitLab,’ and ‘JavaScript’ with a large green checkmark emphasizing the value of skills over formal degrees.
    • A bold statement about college, reading: "College is an outdated signaling mechanism that tells employers: ‘I can follow directions and hustle.’” The text challenges traditional credentials and highlights the importance of real-world experience.
    • A powerful statement about career success: "The most valuable people in the workforce aren’t the ones who followed the traditional path. They are the ones who carved their own." The message emphasizes unconventional career journeys and skill-building.
    • A thought-provoking statement on neurodivergence: "Neurodivergents have been hacking systems their whole lives. The right system can unleash cognitive superpowers." The text advocates for empowering neurodivergent individuals through better workplace systems.
    • A critique of degree-based hiring, stating: "Degrees tell you what someone memorized—not what they can do." The image highlights what success truly means today: having a repeatable process for learning, a network that opens doors, and a portfolio that proves capabilities.

Hi 👋 it’s been a while since I’ve been back on here Here’s a quick re-intro: I’m Jhillika 🌞 I’m startup founder who’s working to shape the future of work by activating the cognitive potential of humanity. We’ve raised funding from some pretty cool investors. Our software helps companies including Microsoft, Amazon, and Boeing tap into #neurodivergent (aka brilliant) talent at scale. I moved to USA at age 17 with the dream of making an impact and driving value for the 1+ billion humans worldwide who have a visible or invisible #disability. I am #ADHD and grew up in a neurodiverse family - with hard working Indian parents and a nonspeaking #autistic brother. Growing up, we couldn’t just hold back and hide things under a carpet. There were some of us who couldn’t speak, others of us who would speak too much. To survive, we had to learn communication tools. I learned to find a shared language amongst all our varying brains. It’s time to find that shared language in the workforce - comprised of so many different neurotypes and lived experiences. Work should no longer consume our lives, and now #AI finally allows us to make $ and also free up our time and focus on what’s most important, like: - creation - connection - service I’m so excited to share our team at Mentra has built a hiring platform that serves as that translation layer - bridging the divide between corporate America and our various nervous systems. After spending the past year observing and processing the lessons of the #AIrevolution, I’m excited to get back on here and share about: 🧠 What pathway in #tech might your brain be a good fit for? 🧠 How employers can actually embrace diversity of thought as we navigate the DEI war 🧠 How we can bridge the divide between the workforce and education by building pathways for different learning styles I want to have real conversations. The kind that drive action and make us rethink the world we live in. ⚡️ The future of work is transforming each day. We can get to shape what it’ll look like who gets a seat at the table this time. #neurodiversity #PWD Drop thoughts below - What’s something in the workforce that needs to change?

A lot of people are concerned #AI is replacing jobs It’s also creating some of the most exciting, high-paying jobs we’ve ever seen. #AIEngineering is one of the fastest-growing fields, yet most people have no clue how to break in—especially if they don’t fit the “traditional” mold. This is where #Neurodivergents and people with disabilities can get ahead of the curve. 🚀 This week, we partnered with ADHD creator Zach Wilson (166K YouTube subs) and Lucia Rios (Salesforce Accessibility + mentorship leader) to host a livestream on: → Why AI is a once-in-a-generation career opportunity → How to break into AI Engineering (even with a nontraditional background) by matching with a mentor → The exact steps to get started today The world is changing fast. The best opportunities aren’t handed out—they’re created by those ready to act. If you want a career that aligns with how your brain works, it’s time to make the path in, accessible. Now’s the time to get in. 🔥 if you’ve read this far and are ready to commit, drop "AI" in the comments for the replay link. #AI #FutureOfWork #TechCareers #Neurodiversity #Inclusion
