The MUSC Health Leatherman Behavioral Care Pavilion is taking shape, bringing much-needed mental health and addiction services to our community. Set to open this fall, the new facility will offer: ✅ A rapid access center for walk-in assessments and transition to care ✅ Expanded telepsychiatry services for greater access to psychiatric care ✅ Crisis stabilization with 16 adult and 4 adolescent beds ✅ Outpatient behavioral health clinics for adults and children ✅ A 63-bed inpatient psychiatric unit for more acute care needs Our team provides compassionate, individualized treatment for conditions like anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, psychosis, and OCD. At MUSC Health Black River Medical Center, we believe in caring for our patients beyond hospital walls. Through our Emergency Food Box Program—made possible by Lowcountry Food Bank Carolina Canners Inc., and a generous $200,000 donation from DSM-Firmenich—we’re ensuring that no patient has to choose between food and medical care. Since launching in January, the program has provided 179 food boxes, supporting 339 individuals in need.
