At MUSC Health Black River Medical Center, we believe in caring for our patients beyond hospital walls. Through our Emergency Food Box Program—made possible by Lowcountry Food Bank Carolina Canners Inc., and a generous $200,000 donation from DSM-Firmenich—we’re ensuring that no patient has to choose between food and medical care. Since launching in January, the program has provided 179 food boxes, supporting 339 individuals in need. Dr. Benjamin Lamb, who helped bring this initiative to life, says it best: “This is an opportunity to do more than just take care of people's health—we can take care of their basic human needs.” Read more: https://lnkd.in/euWb2if8 #ChangingWhatsPossible #MUSCBlackRiver
