We’re proud to partner with the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to drive biomedical research forward. Our collaboration with the NIH’s National Cancer Institute on a clinical trial that leverages our advanced gene sequencing technology in relation to two aggressive blood and bone marrow cancers is a testament to the critical role of public-private partnerships in advancing healthcare. Partnerships like this are made possible through robust funding of federal programs like the NIH. The results are in! This year there are nearly 8,000 grain acres of CoverCress® planted across Missouri, Illinois, and Indiana! In addition, we're excited to have 150 farms taking part in our Farm Adoption Program across Kansas, Iowa, Kentucky, Arkansas, Ohio, Missouri, Illinois and Indiana. In this demonstration program, farmers get the opportunity to try up to 100 acres of CoverCress® at no risk. Thanks to our farmers and agents who help make all of this possible.

🌟 MOBIO Member Highlight: CIC (Cambridge Innovation Center) 🌟 CIC St. Louis recently celebrated a major milestone—its 10th anniversary—with the completion of a multi-million dollar renovation to its shared and private lab spaces in the heart of the Cortex Innovation District. This $2 million renovation revitalizes CIC's laboratories and strengthens St. Louis's position as a leading hub for biosciences and agricultural technology. The newly renovated labs feature:  🔬Six private labs with capacity for teams of 1–44 members  🔬Shared lab space with six benches for individuals and small teams 🔬  State-of-the-art equipment thanks to expanded partnerships with Thermo Fisher Scientific and Eppendorf. CIC St. Louis is home to a vibrant community of over 200 clients and spans 160,000 square feet of space, including workspaces, labs, and event areas. The renovation marks a pivotal moment in the region's innovation ecosystem and demonstrates CIC's ongoing commitment to providing the best environment for startups and corporations tackling society's biggest challenges. These upgrades support startups, scale-ups, and researchers working on groundbreaking solutions to global challenges, from biotechnology to agriculture. MOBIO board members had the pleasure of visiting Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health in St. Joseph, Missouri— the largest animal health manufacturing facility in the U.S. and a pivotal part of the Animal Health Corridor. Wendi Godwin, Director of U.S. Regulatory Affairs Operations at Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health USA Inc. and a member of the MOBIO Executive Committee, graciously hosted our quarterly board meeting at this impressive site, which included an exceptional tour. We would like to thank Paul Woolard and Dennis Pinkelman for their company overview and valuable insights, which provided a solid foundation for our tour. We also appreciate Toby Yager guiding us through the production processes and discussing various topics, including facility design, construction, employee retention, packaging, and distribution, which sparked engaging discussions and broadened our perspectives.
