Honestly, Lovable just breaks all scaling rules. The fastest-growing startup in Europe. 🤯 $17.5M ARR in 3 months 💰 $2.1M ARR added every week 👀 85% Day 30 retention- better than ChatGPT 🚀 30,000 new apps built every single day Just the start and my 5 Key takeaways with Anton Osika 👇 1. We Have Better Retention Than ChatGPT - Our month-one retention on paying customers is better than ChatGPT’s. - It is 85% and going up. 2. North Star Metric and How Many Hit It? - We focus on how many users go all the way to site publish. - We want them getting visitors to the sites they built. - We have almost 40,000 paying users as the proxy metric. 3. When Your Comps Raise Big, Do You Have to Also? - No, you can always bootstrap. - They can outspend you on talent, customers & marketing. - But the only thing that matters is execution. 4. Why Europe Is Not F***ed and Companies Will Be Mega Here - Even though the US has a better startup culture, Europe has more raw talent available. - I want to prove you can build a category defining company in Europe. - We have a strong underdog mentality and that is crucial. 5. Why the Fastest Growing Company in Europe Turned Down YC - We felt like at best we would get some acceleration but a lot of dilution. - At worst it is a distraction to go to SF for all those events. - We took some funding instead and focused on building talent. Introducing Versioning 2.0 to Lovable Restore to earlier versions of your app more easily by using bookmarks and our improved history view. 1. Bookmarks - Save/favorite stable versions of your app to make it easier to know where to revert to when things go wrong. 2. Easier restores - Restoring an old version is now applied as a new edit, making everything easier to track and manage. (similar to git revert commits). 3. Re-designed history - Our previous history tab could quickly get cluttered as the project grows in number of edits. The improved history now groups edits by date, (just like google docs) making it more organized. Having a good user experience is an important part of being a lovable product. This update is a big user experience update that has been highly requested by users. How can we make Lovable even more lovable?

Introducing Code viewer to Lovable You can now view the code of your Lovable project. As before you can also make code edits to lovable projects through Github. Long term, we think humans should not write code. Should humans read code? Yes, user feedback from all the developers is clear – reading code is important to understand how lovable apps work. You can still edit code in Github. Now, you can navigate, and ask for specific code changes, right in the Lovable UI.

When hiring, I used to look for "managers of one." Now, I look for "teams of one." People often ask what Lovable's secret sauce is. The answer is simple but too uncomfortable for most: every single rule is different in a post-AI world. The real magic is knowing when to throw out vs lean on the rule book. Recently spoke with Sifted about the impact of small teams ahead of our Creandum fundraising announcement. We've built one of the highest-leverage teams in the world right now, and we're just getting started. If you think you'd fit in—not just keeping up, but elevating everyone around you—drop me a note.
In the last few weeks, VCs, operators and other tech people have mentioned the Swedish AI agent startup Lovable in passing. One in particular told me it is "the biggest story of the moment." (This was before the reports on the startup's $15m pre-Series A yesterday.) So, what is it that makes this startup so different from all the rest? I visited the offices in central Stockholm to find out. Thank you Nad Chishtie and Fabian Hedin for taking the time. More here: https://lnkd.in/dXJjXFXy
