Leavitt Partners is thrilled to be a part of this innovative approach to transforming healthcare and improving health outcomes across Utah. We’re proud to support the One Utah Health Collaborative as they launch Screen Utah, focusing on enhancing early detection and preventive care. #HealthcareInnovation #ColorectalCancerPrevention #EarlyDetection #HealthcareTransformation #OneUtahHealth #Prevention #UtahHealth
Utah's colorectal cancer screening numbers are down, but Screen Utah is bringing healthcare leaders together to turn things around. We convened Utah healthcare providers, payers, and public health leaders to tackle declining colorectal cancer screening rates. Together, we’ve organized the Screen Utah initiative to align policies, expand access, and educate providers and patients. With the transition to a new administration, there is an opportunity to build on the work that has been done and accelerate our need to move to a more interoperable, patient-centered, digital health focused model of care. Leavitt Partners digital health and interoperability leaders Ryan H. and David Lee worked on a set of specific recommendations the new administration and the industry can adopt to save billions of dollars in administrative costs, lower the burden on consumers and providers, and modernize our health care data exchange ecosystem. In recognition of #RareDiseaseWeek, Leavitt Partners CEO Josh Trent shared his perspective with PharmaVoice on the policy headwinds - and opportunities - related to the research and development of treatments for rare disease. Former White House, HHS, U.S. Senate, U.S. House @ Leavitt Partners | Health Policy Wonk | Advocate | Husband, Father, Son, Rare Dad | Jn 3:16
For #RareDiseaseWeek I had a chance to share some perspective about policy headwinds - and opportunities - related the research and development of treatments for rare disease. https://lnkd.in/ek3Z_-ut 🦓 With 30 million Americans suffering from an estimated 10,000 rare diseases and only 5 percent of those Americans having an FDA-approved treatment for their condition, there is a stark need for continued biomedical innovation. Policy plays a critical role in supporting - or thwarting - innovation. 👉Rare disease does not care about a person's political party, race, geography, or economic status. Rare diseases impact our friends, family, colleagues, and neighbors. 🎯 Amidst all of the challenges and changes in health policy, policymakers in Congress have concrete bipartisan opportunities to help improve access to care and treatments for millions of Americans with rare disease. Now is the time for action.
