Deepseek R1 is going viral! I tested it against OpenAI o1 in the Keywords AI (YC W24) model playground, and the results are astonishing. R1's thinking process is transparent, and its responses are well-structured - often making more sense than o1! However, there's a significant drawback: R1 is notably slower, taking up to 3x longer than o1 to generate responses. From my experience, Deepseek R1 isn't yet ready for production, especially for AI agents, as it would significantly slow down the workflow.
