Platform bans and losing access to your audience overnight… it’s all anyone’s talking about lately. 😬 And honestly? It’s got me thinking. How can I protect my business from things that are simply out of my control? Here’s what I would do: ➡️ Review my top-performing videos. If they performed well before, there’s a good chance they’re on a topic people are interested in. ➡️ Turn them into a valuable freebie. By expanding those viral ideas into something more in-depth, I can confidently create something that my audience actually wants. ➡️ Grow my email list. Because at the end of the day, owning your audience is the safest way to future-proof your business—no algorithms, no platform bans, just direct connections. Sounds like a lot of work? It’s actually easier than you think. (especially when you use AI) Follow for Part 2, where I’ll walk you through setting up your lead magnet online and getting your email list started. 🙌 . . . #contentcreator #creator #onlinebusiness #kajabi

Today’s Supreme Court decision continues to leave TikTok creators and small business owners uncertain about the future of their livelihoods. However, the reality is that TikTok is just a small piece of the creator success puzzle. Once again it shows social media platforms are great places to build audiences but terrible places to build businesses. Social media platforms like TikTok are a great place to discover new content and attract a following, but they’re not where you scale and grow a business. Creators who prioritize owning their content, and audience, through creator commerce - without a reliance on social media platforms for brand deals or de minimis platform payments – that is who’ll find long term success. The opportunity to build an economy that works for creators – not just social platforms – has never been more urgent, and today made even more clear. Kajabi has been helping ambitious creators become successful entrepreneurs from the beginning, and they’ve earned $8B+ in revenue so far. So despite what happens next, creators should take a step back and consider the bigger picture. Do you still want to be at the mercy of brand deals and social platforms? Or would you rather own your content, grow your business on your own terms, and fuel your own success? It’s not an “either-or” situation, but an “and.” This is the start of something bigger. The creator economy promised so much to so many but has not delivered for the middle class of creators. Kajabi’s building a new creator economy where the ones who create the value reap the rewards, the way it should be. It’s time to build an economy that truly works for creators.

The TikTok ban is days away from potentially taking effect. This is a major wake-up call for creators who’ve built their entire brand on one platform. 👀 Whether US operations shut down on January 19th or not, it’s a stark reminder: if you don’t own your audience, you’re renting it. Unpredictable algorithms, platform outages, and now bans—social media alone can’t sustain your business. The key to long-term success? Diversifying your income streams and building a business you own. 💡 Don’t wait until it’s too late! ✍️ TikTok ban update Jan. 10: After hearing arguments in Washington today, "a majority of justices suggested they see US national security concerns as overriding the free speech interests of the companies and content creators" and will "likely to uphold a law that would ban the popular TikTok social media platform in the US if it isn’t sold by its Chinese parent company by Jan. 19." - Bloomberg Law Taylor & Alexis sat down to chat about what the TikTok ban means for creators and what they've seen others do to prepare. If you need some pointers, check out how Rachel Pederson (IG & TikTok: @themrspedersen) is making moves to safeguard her creator biz! How are you prepping for the ban?

2024: What. A. Year. ✨ From a full rebrand that still makes us do a double take, to cheering on our Heroes as they collectively crushed over $8 billion in GMV (yes, billion 🤯), 2024 has been one for the books. We hosted incredible events, rolled out shiny new product updates, and spent countless hours obsessing over how to make your creator dreams even bigger and brighter. 🚀 But let’s be real—it wasn’t just about the milestones. It was about you. Every course launched, every community built, every “aha” moment along the way. You’re the heart of everything we do, and we couldn’t be more grateful to be part of your journey. ❤️ So here’s to you. 🥂 To the creators, the dreamers, and the doers. Thank you for inspiring us daily and for letting us play a small part in your big vision. 2025... let's do this!!

As we wrap up 2024, lots of industry lists are focusing on top creators but are dominated by entertainers, streamers, or those who were able to get the spotlight at some point in time throughout the year. While we love to see creators getting recognized and appreciated in all ways, we want to learn about those creators focused on providing real value to their audiences; helping them learn a new trade or skill, coaching them to take the next step in their career or helping them navigate a specific moment in their lives. This is what we at Kajabi define as a “Knowledge Creator.” Inspired by a post by creator economy executive, Monica Khan, we decided that if we couldn’t find the list, we’d make it ourselves. In partnership with our friends at Course Studio, we’re taking a moment to honor the creators dedicated to sharing their niche expertise across diverse communities worldwide with the launch of Top 24 Knowledge Creators of 2024. Check it out: knowledge-creators.com Whether you’re an aspiring entrepreneur ready to take the next step in starting your business or want to learn how to start your investment portfolio, these creators are providing communities everywhere with a wealth of knowledge and tools to stay motivated and achieve their goals, no matter the niche. Did we miss a knowledge creator that you love? Tag them in the comments below and submit them on the page to be considered for our 2025 list! Congrats to Alex Hormozi, Alexandra Doten, Ali Abdaal, Amy Porterfield, Chris Do, Cleo Abram, Colin Rosenblum, Samir Chaudry, Dr. Becky Kennedy, Humphrey Yang, Jay Clouse, Justin Welsh, Kat Norton, Kevin Espiritu, To Be Magnetic, Natalie Elizabeth Ellis, Nicole Johnsey Burke, One Peak Creative, Shan Boodram, Simran Kaur, Spencer Russell, Sophia Amoruso, Tori Dunlap, Tyler Chou and Vanessa Hill!
