🚀 Hands-on Learning in Action! 🚀 The start of 2024 has been filled with real-world experiences for students across Eastern Iowa! From budgeting simulations to career fairs, Junior Achievement of Eastern Iowa has been busy inspiring future leaders through experiential learning. 📌 Highlights from January & February: ✅ JA Finance Park® Mobile – 8th graders tackled real-life budgeting at Benton Community School. ✅ Equipment Exploration Fair – 4th graders explored careers through hands-on demonstrations. ✅ Career Speakers Event – 3rd graders learned from industry professionals about career paths. ✅ Union Community School Visit to UNI – Students experienced college athletics and teamwork in action. And we’re just getting started! More career readiness & financial literacy experiences are on the way, including JA BizTown® Mobile and more JA Finance Park® Mobile sessions! 🌟 3DE™ Student Spotlight: Natalie Krohse 🌟 Meet Natalie Krohse from Alburnett Community School District—a driven 3DE™ student whose hard work and leadership helped her team win the 9.3 Culminating Event with Van Meter! 🏆 💡 "Natalie’s dedication and leadership often go unnoticed, but she was instrumental in her team’s success," says Tessa Reiter, 3DE™ School Coordinator. "She took the lead in researching key facts, pushed her team to think critically, and set a high standard that inspired everyone to rise to the challenge." Her favorite project? The 9.3 Van Meter case challenge! “I loved seeing our progress from the 9.2 case. The way the question was framed gave our group more opportunities to develop creative solutions.” With a passion for chemistry, Natalie is using 3DE™ to develop her professionalism and goal-setting skills—key traits for a bright future.
