  • 𝐀𝐝𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐍𝐆𝐒𝐖 𝐀𝐦𝐦𝐨 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐞𝐝, 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 & 𝐒𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 Collaboration drives innovation, and the Next Generation Squad Weapon (NGSW) program is a testament to that. For the first time in over 50 years, the U.S. Army is undergoing a major ammunition transformation, one that demands rapid development, rigorous validation, and seamless integration. As a Middle Tier Acquisition pathway, NGSW didn’t have the traditional luxury of time. To meet this challenge, we partnered with JPEO A&A, DEVCOM-AC, ARL, and Olin Winchester to develop and validate a family of 6.8mm projectile concepts. Our expertise in manufacturing process development, development and manufacturing of precision tooling, validated by our advanced inspection equipment, played a key role in accelerating ideas to production at Picatinny Arsenal and LCAAP. Our ability to support large-scale defense initiatives by adapting to U.S. government and supplier needs ensured mission success. As the U.S. Army expands its defense industrial base with a new production facility at Lake City Army Ammunition Plant, we remain committed to delivering end-to-end solutions that push the boundaries of innovation and enhance warfighter readiness. 💡 Let’s build something great together. #NGSW #DefenseTech #Engineering #MissionReady #TeamPicatinny #DOD

Developed collaboratively by the JPEO A&A, U.S. Army’s Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM) Armaments Center, and the DEVCOM Army Research Laboratory, the 6.8mm family of ammunition is specifically engineered to maximize the performance of the XM7 Rifle and XM250 Automatic Rifle. When chambered in these Next Generation Squad Weapons, these rounds deliver increased range, improved accuracy, and enhanced lethality, ensuring Soldiers maintain overmatch on the battlefield.

  • 𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐆𝐚𝐩 𝐁𝐞𝐭𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐃𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧 & 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐮𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠!🔧✨ We believe the best designs come from engineers who truly understand the manufacturing process. That’s why we’ve implemented a cross-training program that gives our mechanical engineers hands-on experience in real-world manufacturing. From machining to assembly, our engineers gain the insights needed to create smarter, more efficient designs. This approach not only sharpens our team’s skills but also strengthens our end-to-end solutions ensuring that what we design is optimized for production from the start. Engineering smarter. Manufacturing better. Innovating together. 👉https://loom.ly/HZ7NWEU
