We are happy to introduce Eric (pseudonym) to you today. He has overcome 17 years of severe, treatment-resistant depression and is now in full remission. He graciously agreed to be the first patient in history to use the least invasive, bone-embedded BCI device and openly share his story. A heartfelt thank you to Parmy Olson and Bloomberg for capturing this milestone so powerfully. Eric has been battling depression and suicidal thoughts for 17 years, leaving his teenage daughter and wife walking on eggshells. Today, after nearly a year using the Inner Cosmos device, Eric, his therapist, and his family have shared that he is in a much better place, frequently going on walks in nature, spending time with friends, and visiting the gym once again. Few things in life are as gratifying as being part of something that empowers people like Eric, who have battled depression without effective treatment for so long, to improve their mental health and reclaim their lives.
