A Bird strike to the engine seems to be the cause of the accident. There needs to be better sensors to detect a flock of birds. But how can a high speed aircraft avoid the flock? The airplane hitting a bird is like a pedestrian getting hit by a car. The person or bird does not have a chance to get out of the way. We are the trespassers in the airspace because birds have been flying way longer than humans who have just recently sprouted wings and learnt to fly. We are developing a VTOL Rescue Hopper 911 with no exposed propellers or motors. The propellers are enclosed in the fan chamber not exposed to the atmosphere. Annual Wildfire Emissions are a Worldwide Problem. We are developing on a "Fire Hopper" for "Autonomous Fire Fighting". There are No Pilots put at Risk. With no dangerously exposed rotor blades the "Fire Hopper" can fly below the forest canopy dispersing water with pinpoint accuracy. How much does sport pilot certification cost? The Airplane Sport Pilot license is about half the cost of the Airplane Private Pilot license. Some schools offer the minimum hours at $2500 to get your airplane sport pilot license. However, this is only the minimum dual flight hours, and it typically takes more time/hours than this minimum. For this low-ball rate there is typically no ground school included. Therefore, the applicant may not be adequately trained or must provide more money to get the proper flight skills. Additionally, this may not include the check ride, training materials, knowledge test endorsement/cost or ground school. The cheapest advertised price may not be the best program. Prices with fuel for modern S-LSA range from $150 to $210 per hour. Typically, it should cost between $4000 to $7500 (this includes training/ dual training in your instructor’s aircraft and soloing in your own aircraft) to get properly trained with all the required items by a qualified school. The "Police Hopper 911" to the "Rescue". Multi rotor aircraft (drones) have one things in common "exposed propellers" and some of these drones sizes are 8-12 foot in dia. with 2'-3' in dia. propellers, (like the size of lawn mower blades.) The Police Hopper is "uniquely different" with no dangerously exposed rotor blades. The "Police Hoppe 911" can break propeller blades and cause these multi rotor aircraft to crash.
