Who better to evolve with your company than the people already working there? That’s how Difference Makers see talent differently. #DifferenceMakers #WorkforceDevelopment #WorkforceTransformation

Don’t @ us, but these 2025 hot takes might just make you see talent differently. ⬇️ 1️⃣ If you’re paying the cost of bad leadership, STOP. According to Gartner, only 6% of HR leaders say their programs actually prepare future leaders. 2️⃣ AI doesn’t replace leaders — but it can reveal weak ones. 59% of all CEOs surveyed in an IBM report — and 72% of the top-performing CEOs — agree that competitive advantage depends on who has the most advanced generative AI. 3️⃣ Your best tech investment is your people. According to the US Chamber of Commerce, 96% of employees say they’re willing to retrain. What they need is the right support and guidance to ensure they’re learning the skills that will help them evolve with their roles and prepare for mobility. 4️⃣ If you keep looking at L&D like a cost center, you’ve got some learning to do yourself. Guild internal data over the last 12 months show that, on average, learners are 3.5x more likely to move into a new internal role compared to non-members. Do you agree with these takes?

What do you think of when you consider the future of manufacturing? For me, it isn’t just about automation—it’s about people. And if we’re serious about closing talent gaps, we need to invest in them. I had the opportunity to share my perspective with Compass by Guild on how Learning & Development isn’t just a nice-to-have, but a business imperative for this future. Let’s talk about it: 💡 Skilling isn’t optional—it’s survival. Talent shortages and rapid tech advancements mean companies that prioritize workforce learning will be the ones that stay ahead. Upskilling isn’t just an HR initiative; it’s a competitive advantage. 💡 Flexibility is non-negotiable. The best L&D strategies meet employees where they are, whether it’s micro-learning, on-the-job training, or career mobility programs that support real growth. 💡 HR can’t do it alone. Strategic partnerships with educational institutions, clear career pathways, and an intentional focus on inclusion are critical. If organizations are not creating access and opportunity for the broadest spectrum of talent, they're absolutely leaving innovation on the table and limiting future growth. The bottom line? A business-driven, people-first approach to upskilling is the key to bridging the talent gap and future-proofing the manufacturing workforce. In today’s rapidly shifting landscape, micro-credentials are preparing organizations’ teams beyond traditional degree-based skilling pathways. “People will need to upskill and re-skill quickly, and then pivot rapidly. These shorter-term programs make sense as a way to reexamine employee education.” - Paul J. LeBlanc, former President of Southern New Hampshire University and the head of the board at Matter and Space Learn more about how microcredentials are supporting employee education and organization growth: https://lnkd.in/gB_ME8Vy
