Congratulations Rahul Jain and team Noble on an incredibly successful launch!
How we hit our monthly goal on launch day To: Sophie Buonassisi, Max Altschuler, Scott Barker, and Paul Irving From: Rahul Jain Thank you again for your help with last week’s launch. It went well and we felt the love from our investors and advisors who posted for us. We had 40 people post about Noble, our company LinkedIn page is now at 1300+ followers, and we hit our monthly goal of sign-ups in one day. Given that we didn’t pay our investors/advisors to post, our team feels really good about the launch. If any marketer in your portfolio wants to know how we did it, I’ve summarized our launch plan below. I’m not saying this was the best launch of all time or anything fancy, but it might be helpful as a starting point. Here’s what we did: - First, we figured out our buyer. For us, that’s B2B marketers. - Next, we figured out how to get in front of them. For us, B2B marketers know each other through in-person conferences and LinkedIn. So I tried to surround our team with investors and advisors who are part of the B2B sales/marketing community. If you’re part of GTMfund, you already have access to their LPs and network. On the advisor front, I was lucky to meet Jason Widup early on. He introduced me to a ton of people and suddenly I knew 30+ B2B marketers. Eventually, we turned these relationships into an advisory board which Jason oversees. - Finally, we made it easy for our community to help us. Once we picked a launch date, we made it simple for our investors and advisors to post about us. We did the obvious things such as drafting copy and creating GIFs of the product to copy/paste. But I think the thing that made the launch successful is that we have a high baseline level of communication with our investors and advisors so when the launch came around, it wasn’t the first time in a while that they heard from our team. The week before the launch we gave them a heads up that the launch was coming and then every day someone on our team was reaching out to them individually and as a group to give them little updates so we were always top of mind. Finally, when launch day came around, we sent a reminder with my LinkedIn post in the morning, and then when each person posted they shared it with the group so it served as a way to build momentum to encourage others to post. Brandon Redlinger 💎 led the launch from our team and he put together an awesome launch plan. I’ve included his plan and timeline below with all of the original links. Shout out to the Noble team (Joshua Budman, James Coll, Igor M., Brandon Redlinger 💎, Jason Widup, Liam MacCormack, and Courtney Lee) for a great launch! 😇

Congratulations Rahul Jain, Joshua Budman and team on the launch of Noble! With Noble, vendors add the Noble banner to their website and prospects click it to see which of your happy customers they know. It’s all about giving buyers the power to connect directly with customers they know and trust, making every decision easier. Couldn't be more excited for our portfolio company and the tremendous impact they've already made on the buying experience. 🚀 #thatsnoble
Noble 𝐋𝐚𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐡! To: Joshua Budman From: Rahul Jain Hey Josh, Big day! I’m proud of us and excited to see how Noble’s launch goes today. Below is the message I’m sharing publicly about Noble’s launch if you have any edits. 10 years after meeting during DreamIt Health, I’m excited for this new adventure together! Rahul P.S. I think this means we’re going to have to start posting on Linkedin now —------- Noble is officially live! We started Noble because Josh and I want to talk to users we know and trust before buying. Starting today: - Any B2B marketer can add the Noble banner to their website - Prospects can click the banner to see which happy customers they know - Prospects can then chat with users they trust about their experience with the product Here’s what happened when 50 companies added the Noble banner to their website: - 2% of website visitors clicked on the Noble banner (that CTR is 66x higher than chatbots) - 80% of prospects saw at least 1 user/customer they know personally - 5% of prospects who used Noble converted to pipeline (demos or sign-ups) - 2x faster conversion for prospects who used Noble We’d love your support by following Noble and sharing Noble with your marketing team - we’ve included a link in the comments for you to pass along 😇

Last week, our friends at Friends & Family Capital hosted an incredible event. One standout session focused on the ultimate playbook for scaling from $100 million to $1 billion in revenue. A key takeaway from it: Distribution matters. It was number two on the list of must-do actions. There's a related quote we come back to often at GTMfund: "First time founders are obsessed with product. Second time founders are obsessed with distribution." Distribution is the backbone of go-to-market strategy and the "how" behind successful execution. #gtm #b2bsaas

Thanks Scott Barker and GTMfund for hosting me. Great conversation!
"The customer is always right" can be the most dangerous advice in business. Here's what I learned from Nealesh Patel, CRO of Crunchbase, about the art of "listening without obeying" -- a framework that helped them build AI products their customer actually needed vs. what they thought they wanted. 1. Ask different questions Instead of "What features do you want?" Ask "What will make you a hero? What will make you a villain?" Frame Qs that reveal the real problems hiding behind feature requests. 2. Avoid the parity trap When ChatGPT launched, everyone asked "What's your AI strategy?" Most companies rushed to match competitors feature-for-feature. Crunchbase took a different approach: They asked "What outcomes do customers actually need?" 3. Go deeper than data On a customer tour, Neal's team heard the usual requests: "We need more companies in the database" "We need better contact data" But when they pressed further: "Would you actually pay more for that?" "Would you guarantee renewal?" The answers revealed much bigger opportunities. 4. The breakthrough By combining: - 17 years of historical data - Behavior patterns from 80M users - Deep customer insights They unlocked something bigger: The ability to predict companies' futures. They weren't solving for feature requests. They were solving for outcomes. Here's the truth about customer feedback: Your job isn't to build everything customers ask for. Your job is to understand their problems so deeply that you can solve the ones they haven't even articulated yet. Sometimes the best innovations come from listening to your customers... And then building something they never thought to ask for. The customer isn't always right. But they always have something to teach you -- if you know how to listen.
