Today, March 9th Grey Bull Rescue honors and prays for American hostages and those wrongful detained held in captivity across the globe.  Grey Bull Rescue stands proud to have rescued hostages and brought them safely home to American soil and returned them to their praying families.      Since August 2021, our team has been rescuing Americans from warzones and disasters including dozens of Americans held hostage in Ukraine, Russia, Gaza, and other locations.   We praise the very few organizations focused on this fight including:  Hostage US , FOLEY FOUNDATION, Hostage Aid Worldwide, and our U.S. Government colleagues in the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), U.S. Department of State, and other agencies who we work with every single day.     Our most well-known American hostage rescue case is that of Kirillo-Edvard Alexandrov.   Kirillo, an American Citizen, is the first American victim of war crimes alive since WWII.    Kirillo endured 37 days of unlawful detention and torture at the hands of Russian forces who falsely accused him of 11 counts of espionage.  Against tremendous odds, our team at Grey Bull Rescue, led by Bryan Stern, launched a bold rescue operation when all other options failed. Through hostile territory, our operatives executed a daring operation against the Russians, whom today, can’t figure out how we did it.  Bryan promised his mother that he would bring Kirillo home.  Our team made good on the promise.    The DoJ, for the first time in U.S. history, were able to bring indictments for war crimes committed against an American by a foreign power. Three years ago, as Russia launched its full-scale invasion of Ukraine, what should have been a moment of joy became every mommy and daddy’s worst nightmare and ultimately fight for survival for the Spektor family from Atlanta.  Their twin boys, Lenny and Moishe, were born prematurely on February 24, 2022 in Kyiv, just as Russian missiles rained down on the city in a brutal missile campaign targeting anything and everything including hospitals. The fragile newborns on full life support required intensive care, confined to incubators and machines in a city under siege where nothing was safe. At the plea of the daddy, Bryan Stern and the Grey Bull team undertook a true “mission impossible” operation to somehow evacuate these vulnerable infants from a new and hyper-active war zone. The twins' survival depended not only on maintaining their critical medical care while mobile but also on navigating the dangerous, conflict-ridden landscape of Ukraine, with missiles shaking the very ground of the hospital.  Through meticulous planning, securing neo-natal medical specialists, primary and backup medical teams, ambulances, air cover, paired with bravery and determination, the team initiated operations and successfully rescued Lenny and Moishe getting them from the war-zone to a neo-natal intensive care unit (NICU) across the border in Poland where daddy was waiting.    This mission stands as a testament to Grey Bull Rescue's capabilities and the vital importance of rapid professional operations in times of crisis under unimaginable conditions.   The Spektor twins' story represents just one of 728 successful Grey Bull Rescue missions, highlighting our commitment to saving lives regardless of the challenges we face. Today, Lenny and Moishe are thriving, playing, growing, getting into mischief, and most importantly safe at home in Atlanta. Today marks three years since Russia invaded Ukraine. Bryan Stern and our team were already in Kyiv as the missiles landed and had set conditions to rescue Americans that would be trapped in the war zone, the U.S. Embassy had already evacuated weeks before leaving hundreds of Americans face to face with the Russian war machine. As the missiles impacted, artillery fired, tanks rolled, the team at Grey Bull Rescue vowed to not leave our people behind. Hundreds of missions later, while truly terrible, it was our finest hour and measure of service. Read more about how we responded in our article.
