Large companies are starting to leverage AI quicker than you think… Last night, we hosted a dinner (at an incredible steakhouse) with tax, accounting, and AI leaders from large scale companies. And to be honest, I was surprised—maybe naively so—by how quickly they’re rolling out AI across their organizations. I’m not just talking about individuals using ChatGPT to speed up their personal workflows (although this is certainly happening as well). I mean company-wide adoption of tools like Glean and Gemini, plus deep dives into more specialized AI solutions for specific functions—like Neo.Tax for R&D tax credits and software capitalization. The biggest blocker to further adoption? AI that actually works. That got me thinking about what means for an AI tool to “work”. There’s a big difference between automating a simple, one-person, one-hour task versus tackling complex, multi-stakeholder workflows that pull data from various sources and need to be executed with precision. There seems to be a gap in AI solutions that can effectively bridge qualitative reasoning with complex quantitative computations—using insights from language and context to drive accurate, large-scale calculations. What AI tools are actually delivering on their promise? Would love to hear your take.

The advantage of working with a software-first company like Neo.Tax is that we understand the sensitivity of your data and have taken every step to protect it. 🗣️ "Data is the most precious resource that a business has. That’s why everyone obsesses over securing their data—and it’s why we care so much about protecting it," Firas Abuzaid, cofounder and CTO at Neo.Tax says. "The whole value prop of Neo.Tax is that we can deliver the best tax experience for our customers by analyzing your data, learning about your business in detail, and generating the right outputs for the IRS." ⭐ "We can’t do our job without data, but we recognize that we have to earn that right from our customers," he continues. "So security is of the utmost importance to us, and that will always be the case." Learn how Neo.Tax secures our customers' sensitive data with the help of Neon, Tailscale, and our talented engineering team. 👇 https://lnkd.in/ggV2m5Tv

  • 🗣️ Enterprise PMOs are wasting your engineers' time. The traditional rationale goes: by inputting their work, there will be more transparency for managers and simplified tax compliance for controllers and Heads of Tax. But that ignores a fundamental problem: these additional layers aren't connected to the actual core work engineers do. ✍ Engineers didn’t sign up to bookkeep. The burden of accurately tagging and tracking their work is a headache that’s out of sync with the rest of their workflow. 🧾 So, we created a better solution with Neo.Tax: an automated solution that calculates your engineering team’s time — with accuracy and consistency — from existing systems. 🌟 What used to take hundreds of hours happens automatically. So, switch to Neo.Tax. I promise: your engineers will thank you. 👇 https://lnkd.in/gwvwMZvg

  • 🥁 Drumroll please 🥁 In November, we were lucky enough to hire Rammy Johal as Head of Customer Success at Neo.Tax! Three things to know about Rammy: 1. She's been building CS Teams for over 8 years, and has experience in both the US R&D and Canadian SR&ED program! ✨ 2. She loves to cook and is a HUGE wine lover. She tries to get to France once a year to tour vineyards and see the terroir first hand. 🍷 3. She's a proud aunt to her sister's Aussie-Doodle, Cleo, who she frequently petsits. Cleo is actually short for Cleopatra: Rammy, a self-described history nerd, explains that "She really is the queen." 👑 We're so excited to have you on the team, Rammy!
