Germany is falling behind in AI adoption: A Cisco study reveals that German companies are poorly prepared to utilize artificial intelligence, placing the country behind others in Europe. Only six percent of companies are fully equipped to adopt AI, ranking Germany sixth in Europe, behind nations like the UK and Italy. 2 main factors that influence this situation: 1. Strong strategies but weak execution: While 77 percent of German businesses claim to have an AI strategy, only 36 percent have the necessary technical infrastructure, and just 40 percent have enough skilled workers to implement these strategies effectively. 2. Slow adaptation: Nearly all companies (98 percent) recognize the growing urgency of adopting AI, but slow investment in IT infrastructure risks leaving Germany significantly behind.
