As AV teams move away from HD maps and rely more on real-time perception, a new challenge is emerging: simulation, evaluation, and end-to-end AI workflows still depend on maps that teams are no longer producing. Yaron Kashai, Fellow at Foretellix, explores how automated map construction from perception drive logs can close this gap, turning noisy, incomplete, real-world perception data into validation-ready maps without a dedicated mapping operation. Read the blog to see how this approach helps development infrastructure keep pace with expanding ODDs.

He explains why rule-based guardrails are essential for building trustworthy AV validation workflows, and how blending AI with formal methods can help teams close coverage gaps and move toward production-ready autonomy with greater confidence. 👉 Read the full blog here  https://lnkd.in/dJEPX57d

    • If AI Helps Create The AV Stack, Should AI Also Be Trusted To Validate It?
  • 𝐃𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐆𝐥𝐨𝐛𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐮𝐭𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐦𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐕𝐞𝐡𝐢𝐜𝐥𝐞 𝐒𝐚𝐟𝐞𝐭𝐲 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐬: 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐱’𝐬 𝐎𝐧𝐠𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐭 𝐚𝐭 𝐀𝐒𝐀𝐌 The path to safe autonomous driving requires robust, scalable standards. Foretellix is proud to be part of two major milestones in this space: the release of ASAM OpenSCENARIO DSL 2.2.0 and our continued participation in the ASAM Technical Steering Committee. The release of OpenSCENARIO DSL 2.2.0 is a significant leap for the industry. As a standard for dynamic scenario description, it provides the framework necessary for large-scale verification and validation (V&V) of autonomous vehicle systems. By supporting human and machine-readable descriptions across abstract, logical, and concrete levels, it enables the level of reuse and composition required for truly safe deployment. Beyond the technical standard, we are pleased to share that Gil Amid, Foretellix's Co-Founder, Chief Regulatory Affairs Officer, and VP Operations has been elected to his third consecutive term on the ASAM Technical Steering Committee for 2026-2028. Gil’s long-standing role in the TSC, and his significant contribution to the OpenSCENARIO DSL project, reflects Foretellix’s commitment to ensuring that AV safety is standardized, automated, and scalable across the entire ecosystem. Together with other ASAM standards like OpenDRIVE and OSI, this latest release empowers the industry to develop AV stacks at a scale that was previously unreachable. 🔗 Learn more: https://lnkd.in/dK8dNM8a

It is central to validation. But simulation only creates value when teams can prove it is realistic, repeatable, and fit for purpose. In this blog from Janine Golpashin, the Director of Product Solutions at Foretellix, she explains Foretellix's unified approach to simulation trustworthiness, covering toolchain qualification, simulation fidelity, and data-backed credibility assessment. The result is a clearer path to making simulation a measurable and defensible part of the AV safety case. 👉 Read the full blog here https://lnkd.in/dAAyapyn

As software stacks evolve, we often encounter Intent Drift. A scenario designed to test a high-stakes cut-in might, after a few software updates, result in a vehicle interaction that is no longer challenging or even relevant. The test technically "passes," but its original safety purpose is lost. Manually reviewing thousands of daily simulation runs to find these "zombie tests" is impossible. That’s where AI becomes a critical partner in the V&V process. At Foretellix, we’re utilizing AI to protect the integrity of your validation suite by: ◈ Defining Intent: Using Natural Language to bridge the gap between human safety goals and technical execution. ◈ Automated Detection: Deploying AI-based detectors that understand if a scenario actually achieved its intended "challenge." ◈ Closing the Loop: Identifying "Intent Drift" automatically, so engineers can focus on meaningful failures rather than chasing ghost passes. Don't let your regression suite lose its edge. Learn how AI-powered intent detection ensures every simulation hour spent is an hour spent on safety. Saving over two years off of a project didn't happen by running more tests at the end of the development process. It happened by moving simulation into the development loop from day one. The new streamlined process meant that every code change triggered automated virtual tests against a prioritized library of high-value scenarios, tied to real-world data and historical bug patterns. Developers got same-day feedback. V&V teams had continuous coverage visibility. The digital twin stopped being a V&V-only tool. The Result:  31 million simulation runs over six months. Coverage went from 12% to 87%. Projected costs cut in half. Coverage isn't a volume problem. It's a timing and relevance problem. The teams who are setting themselves up to win are running the right scenarios as early as they can in development, continuously, and as part of how they build, not as a checkpoint at the very end before shipping. 👉 For all the details click the link to learn more

The Foretellix MCP bridge allows autonomous vehicle engineers to interact with the Foretellix Physical AI toolchain using natural language within environments like Claude Desktop or Cursor. This architecture utilizes a local MCP server that connects to Foretellix tools running on the customer infrastructure, ensuring that sensitive data remains within your secure environment. Technical advantages for V&V and AI teams: 📉 Reduced context switching: Search for scenarios, launch simulations, and analyze results without leaving the IDE. 🛠️ Toolchain interoperability: The standardized MCP framework allows AI agents to interface with external testing tools in a predictable, secure way. 🤖 Automated scenario discovery: Query your scenario library for specific edge cases, such as vehicle cut-ins with pedestrian crossings, using natural language prompts. This integration reflects the shift toward AI-native engineering where testing and analysis are embedded into the developer toolkit. By utilizing the MCP bridge, teams can accelerate iteration cycles and focus on high-value problem solving rather than tool management.
