I was honored to share my story with over 200 colleagues at Flagship Pioneering’s celebration of International Day of Women and Girls in Science last night. The energy in the room was electrifying. This event was a fantastic display of the community we have here at Flagship, where we are committed to empowering and championing the next generation of #WomenInScience. I am deeply grateful to my new Flagship teammates, including Lovisa Afzelius, Christine Heenan, Laura Kline, Joy Right, Melissa Currier Briggie and so many others, who share my passion for supporting women in the workplace and providing them with opportunities to thrive in their careers. Reflecting on my own journey growing up in South Africa and my career in biopharma, I’ve realized how crucial it is to pay it forward and help others find a voice.
