Players Trust, the charitable organization of Consumer Lifestyle & Sports client Major League Baseball Players Association (MLBPA), partnered with The Players Way, the union’s youth development initiative, to host a free baseball and softball clinic in Tampa at the Bayshore Little League. The event was put on for more than 100 boys and girls who were affected by the hurricanes that recently impacted the Tampa and surrounding regions. Attendees had the chance to learn offensive, defensive and base running drills up close, as well as hear words of inspiration from several of Major League Baseball’s best, including Pete Alonso, Michael King, Sean Manaea, Andrew Miller and others. Members of the University of South Florida softball team also assisted with the day’s activities. Our team secured onsite coverage from each of the local television affiliates, as well as a feature in the Tampa Bay Times to highlight the Players Trust’s commitment to give back to communities throughout North America and bring joy to those in their time of need. In what turned out to be a very busy sports day in the region, starting with a 5K charity run at Tropicana Field, and ending with the Commanders/Buccaneers heart-stopping playoff game, the Players Trust, Players Way, and most importantly the kids, were the big winners. Hard to believe that opening day is a little more than two months away. PLAY BALL!

During the match, Cosm will be hosting a donation drive for the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation to support relief efforts for evacuees and those impacted by the fires.
